The fix to resolve this was hopefully not as hard?

I used WP for about 10 years to power Linux Audit. Did some ultimate tuning to speed it up, including my own scripts to cache pages.

I personally started to enjoy WP less after a while. The plugins needed to enhance the website, or protect it, or SEO it, as a starter. Also, I found it harder to actually use it as a tool to blog. Instead of writing, I got distracted by the interface. Now I'm free and love to blog again 🤓

🧰 The 'column' command is a great (and often overlooked) tool.

It creates structured output of data and turns it into columns, hence the name. It makes it easier to understand the data and its values. Great for CSV and data files.

💡 You already might have the command on your system, as it usually is installed on #Linux, #FreeBSD, #OpenBSD and others.

What other commands would you recommend for dealing with data?

If you like the effort I'm putting into these tips, please get them far 🔁 🚀

I shared it before, but think that #littleFedi is a better Mastodon experience. In fact, soon we have to find an alternative icon for our websites (instead of the Mastodon icon) 🤯 Maybe we already need a more generic Fediverse icon?

For example: the attention for the little things, like displaying the alternative text under an image.

Why littleFedi? When all is running as expected, start sending out some mails via your own server and test deliverability.

So far I have not experienced delivery issues, for example with a custom relay server that runs for 10+ years now.
Stefano Marinelli (npub1ef5…gcpc)

Starting with how to achieve things, and from useful commands up to automation steps that one can take.

Little known fact: my "real" shell scripting powers came from #FreeBSD, when I created #rkhunter. Added a whole bunch of descriptions from the queued list of #linux commands.

The list is growing quickly, now passed the 200!

https://linux-audit.com/system-administration/commands/

I enjoy researching these commands, as there are some golden nuggets in them. Example: you have a problem with file permissions, but don't know where in the path structure it happens. Go to a directory, then run: namei -l $(pwd)

This shows you from the root up to your directory the permissions. Awesome!

Using #nginx and #systemd on a system is more common nowadays. Did you already check out this #linuxsecurity hardening profile for nginx?

https://linux-audit.com/systemd/hardening-profiles/nginx/

It's a set of parameters that sandbox nginx. The best part of implementing is that you really start to learn what a process does or does not need very quickly. Good for your #linux knowledge 💪

Also interesting, unit settings: https://linux-audit.com/systemd/settings/units/

If you implemented the profile, love to hear how you like it!
