During his bookshop years, he educated himself by reading literature and philosophy.<br/><br/>One central theme of his books is the search for the true self. Again and again, his characters try to find authenticity, spiritual balance, and freedom from false roles.<br/><br/>#books #writers #literature #HermannHesse #Hesse #bookstodon <span itemprop="mentions" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Person"><a itemprop="url" href="/npub1q60zc05dx303nj349e2sdeys2yegx5cpv9ghn46vwg935z5wgwss93kp90" class="bg-lavender dark:prose:text-neutral-50 dark:text-neutral-50 dark:bg-garnet px-1"><span>Bookstodon Group</span> (<span class="italic">npub1q60…kp90</span>)</a></span> #reading #booksky #bookstagram #today<br/> <img src="https://files.mastodon.social/media_attachments/files/116/850/019/957/058/328/original/8e223f9c1c866b34.jpeg"> <br/> 2026-07-02T10:56:56Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqsxdev6ggdsq3nkxj8vcl37vq7ktg8q6vwt0xaggtp66cgh5nd3eeszypzulks96z4ar5qqw9srhqfr49yqmjem5t0h0ryn2936gpq7k5qh50z0l7p Shel Silverstein is famous for his children’s poetry and illustrations. <br/><br/>In poem Lazy Jane the word &#34;rain&#34; hovers just above Jane’s open mouth, as the string of words above it seems to represent the trickle of water she longs for.<br/><br/>#poetry #reading #Love #poem #poet #Silverstein #graficpoem #poems #bookstodon <span itemprop="mentions" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Person"><a itemprop="url" href="/npub1q60zc05dx303nj349e2sdeys2yegx5cpv9ghn46vwg935z5wgwss93kp90" class="bg-lavender dark:prose:text-neutral-50 dark:text-neutral-50 dark:bg-garnet px-1"><span>Bookstodon Group</span> (<span class="italic">npub1q60…kp90</span>)</a></span> #books #book #poemaday #poetrycommunity #pictures #readers #readersofmastodon #booksky #bookish #BookTok #bookclub #readit #Bookwyrm #rain #booklovers #LazyJane<br/> <img src="https://files.mastodon.social/media_attachments/files/116/657/531/356/261/208/original/21e753173fbce865.jpg"> <br/> 2026-05-29T11:04:58Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqs0sjn7vj72v30mkteztf48yrx3tjedwwrsvfp5fhhg46tv4jvqpdszypzulks96z4ar5qqw9srhqfr49yqmjem5t0h0ryn2936gpq7k5qh5sr95j5 Today is Daphne du Maurier’s birthday!<br/><br/>Few #writers could create an atmosphere like Daphne du Maurier.
