I just did our biannual clear out of our coop yesterday (first time and so much easier than I thought, once I’d swept on the soiled bedding, I was amazed how dry the floor was with zero poop!!) Started a compost heap with the waste, which got me thinking about worms as cheap food for the chickens. Found this tutorial if it’s any use to you? https://www.hobbyfarms.com/worm-bin-chickens-build/ I’m going to have put ours in the ground to avoid frost in the winter and it drying out in the summer. I don’t think I can put the chicken waste in as it’s too much nitrogen for the worms, but we have loads of food/plant waste that I’ll fill it with. Be intrigued to hear about/see your worm farm! 🪱 2026-10-06T11:50:40Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqsgw66wmm8xg0vvcywq36umctyvdmg4haecnvnwj5nxx8dlyphnn3szypzu7jm3t9dpm94jlkccx6al69w68q23cra498phecp6s7cn2sl6kce577z In reply to nevent1q…6ylm
_________________________

Remember chocolate during the war? How do we grow our communities here as a place where people share stories and help each other? The daily GM and GN are great and all, but to me, it feels like Instagram when the main theme is to post nice pics. Can we find ways to make it more interactive? More questions? Sharing our tips and tricks? Connecting people?

#asknostr #gm #gn #sharingiscaring 2026-09-17T16:06:42Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqs2mzdzyymjvyv3tcj2p0xxkf3gpesm9qflhyy92776vepsuv4xhmszypzu7jm3t9dpm94jlkccx6al69w68q23cra498phecp6s7cn2sl6k94fws5 In reply to nevent1q…3spv
_________________________

Yes! 2026-09-17T15:46:02Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqs9afv43tjzpqwteg7k3m2ff3amf2y47umynmlq0wlrj79l49nqhuszypzu7jm3t9dpm94jlkccx6al69w68q23cra498phecp6s7cn2sl6kjdu070 I’m only talking about people here.
