I spend a lot of my time working with Backdrop CMS, an open-source content management system that forked from Drupal 7 back in 2013. The goal was to keep a simpler, more accessible CMS alive for the small-to-medium sites that didn't need the complexity Drupal 8 and beyond brought with it.

Backdrop has stayed true to that mission. It's actively maintained, has a solid and welcoming community, and continues to improve without losing sight of what made Drupal 7 so popular in the first place. If you're running an older Drupal 7 site and wondering what your options are, Backdrop is worth a serious look.

Happy to talk shop about Backdrop, web development, or open-source CMS in general. Looking forward to connecting here.

2026-03-02T01:42:40Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqsxw5qmrth4x2clhwme4remu5ufjmp0vq64khs4g43v7km7nt35x5czyprz3z598mvrrpkr4evqrld8xn4vthxqzhtwfy0f63cypdy2gnrcsk4vzh2
Just testing out my Fediverse presence, so bear with me.
