What you believe cannot be true. The righteous do not desire power over others; they do not wish to impose their will, to stand above others, or to possess money taken from others. On the contrary, they deeply repudiate all such things, and for this reason, they would never run for political office. The very act of running for office is a testament to a moral failing for it requires the individual to accept the violence, coercion, and extortion inherent in the State. It requires accepting that it is just for people to be coerced so that the State may exist and the will and designs of its agents may be fulfilled; it requires accepting that it is just for people to be extorted to sustain the State, its agents, and whatever whims those agents might pursue; it requires accepting that if individuals resist such injustice, violence should be used against them in the name of the "common good"; and, ultimately, it requires accepting that the ends justify the means. Anyone who accepts all of this possesses a profound character flaw, even if they believe they are acting with good intentions. A righteous person would never accept any of this, and therefore would never run for office.
Regarding education, the State—or rather, its agents—has the greatest stake in how it is conducted, as they stand to gain or lose the most from it. Consequently, they constantly seek to monopolize education so that it serves their own interests. Even in places where the State does not exercise direct and absolute control, it still exerts significant influence, and its agents strive at all costs to expand that control further. Can you honestly say that any State would allow a child to be taught in a way that contradicts its own desires—to think autonomously, to refuse to submit to coercion, and to reject violence, compulsion, and extortion as legitimate? Teaching these things goes against the will of the entity that holds the monopoly on violence—and make no mistake, it will make use of it—therefore such actions are effectively illegal. If, for people to "vote correctly" (as if such a thing truly existed), they would first need to be properly educated—something the State and its agents actively oppose—then one must deliberately act against the State’s will, rejecting its interference and refusing to believe in it and uphold it's will—even while teaching that the State is not at fault and that one simply needs to "vote correctly"; yet, this is precisely what every non-single-party regime teaches. The prevailing narrative is not that there are no problems; on the contrary, many issues are constantly highlighted. Instead, the claim is that these problems exist only because the wrong people have held—or currently hold—power, and that we simply need to install the "right" people. This is why politicians always promise: "The others didn't deliver, but I will—vote for me, and I’ll fix healthcare, education, and security." It is also why "saviors of the nation" frequently emerge, promising to rescue the country from ruin, restore its former greatness, and reclaim its core principles and values—only to remain in power for years or even decades, insisting that "now things will change," "just give me four more years," or "next year will be the year of the harvest." The belief that one simply needs to "vote correctly" has sustained the State across the globe for decades, while the conviction that we only need the "right people" in power has served to uphold it for centuries. Democracy, with its elections, is merely the current face of this illusion.

The monopoly on violence makes the agents of the State to be above everybody else and enables them to impose their will to all. There are no incentives for them to seek the well-being of others, but all incentives are to seek only their own benefit. The State – the centralizing entity who has the monopoly on violence – will always design privileges, favor lobbies, endorse vested interest, but above all attracts those who desire power, offers them the power to dominate over others, to control others, to be above others, it's elections select the most unscrupulous, reckless psychopaths – those willing to do whatever it costs to win – and when they get there they receive the power they so desperately desired, they now can control the lives of many who's destinies now depends of their designs, they now are sustained by those they control and are now immune to the consequences of their actions, they are now much sought after by those desiring privileges, those lobbying for their own sake, for they now have the power to grant it, and whatever their hearts desire will not be done with their own money, but with that of their subjects.
