When I went to the post office for a passport renewal, they didn't think it was real, even though they look at birth certificates every day but passed it on to the US State Dept anyways (who accepted it). I take pleasure in approaching the racks at work and simply removing all the zip ties. Now proper routing and draping of cables, that is what you really need.

They’ve already demo’ed several hybrid “almost walking” bots. Legs with wheels can work perfectly well for porch package delivery. A company also showed a “taxi” which essentially was an extendable cargo box that could extend up and out for level boarding from your front door. That one looks less plausible (cantilevered weight, compressible soils) but when does reality get in the way of a solution searching for a problem?

I have both Google workspace and only-greylist protected email addresses. Notably the Google supported system blocks me from receiving PayPal scams. But the grey list of course cannot block them since the mail transport is Gmail servers which do real retries. So yeah, sender should be blocking mails. The trick of course is their high threshold of 500/day under which they do nothing; the spammers just create more accounts.

Logitech makes long lasting hardware. I still have several (legendary) mx518's as my daily driver. After ~15 years of being out of production, Logitech started making them again. I've had to remove the rubber coating deteriorating into a sticky mess, but I found it worth the labor, because it's such a good mouse! otoh, I use a first-generation Microsoft ergo keyboard. Again, it's lasted decades, but I've found nothing better, so I have a stock of about 5 spares!

Like Lauren, I spent decades inside Google, and watched teams being grilled for not having proper privacy controls. Privacy and security aren't one time checkboxes, they are repeating verifications that happen before and after launch. Internal systems also exist to audit data access, and anomalies are pursued. I've seen a few firings over unauthorized access.
