You run a tiny program that asks a very simple question in the form a prompt, and the bot responds with an answer.

You run THE VERY SAME PROGRAM, with THE VERY SAME PROMPT against the VERY SAME MODEL again and it gives you an entirely different answer, wildly different from the first.

I disagree. While it's true we need "a future we want" as much as a "map to get there", there's considerable value in the former on its own, at least at first.

Societies are built on stories, and the first step to building a better future is painting it for others. You may not have the answer to "how we get there", but your readers might. Inspiration must come first.

The dominant voices in our culture foretell a cyberpunk future. First we must collectively imagine a #solarpunk one.

#Django nerds of Mastodon! Anyone know how to write a management command to accept arbitrary arguments? Ideally, something like this:

So `--expected-argument` is defined in `.add_arguments()`, but the other args are just available as something like `options["remainder"]` or whatever.

I don't think that's the primary reason to be honest. Flights are cheaper for a number of reasons, including the cost of staff on short haul runs being limited to the length of the run.

If you have to pay staff to work on an 4hr train ride vs a 45min flight, your costs go way up.

I've been using #Linux for 25 years, but I've always had at least one computer that dual-booted into Windows so that I could play games. As of last night, that's finally over. Proton has let me break free.

I no longer use #Windows at all, and it feels *really* good. No adware/spyware baked into your OS, no untrusted code doing gods-know-what to your machine as part of an "update", just your machine doing what you want it to do.

If you're tired of Windows, know that you have options.
