I photographed this eastern cottontail rabbit in my next door neighbor's yard a couple days ago. These bunnies are not native to Washington State. They were introduced presumably for hunting. They eat plants, garden plants and leafy vegetables like lettuce in our vegetable garden. My two dogs will catch one occasionally. We have coyotes in the area, too. This is Miss Coyote. She shows up nearly every day to lay under a tall cedar just beyond our back fence. She waits for squirrels that show up at our bird feeder. Sometimes she's successful getting a squirrel. She trots away when I let our two dogs out or if I go out. She doesn't bother our dogs unlike what other coyotes have done in the past. As long as she minds her business she is welcome to come and lay. It's conditional for now. #coyote #nature #wildlife

I chatted with the crew and found out that they had just come in from Hawaii. The ship, Oscar Elton Sette, I found out is based in Honolulu.
