It makes me feel the enthusiasm (and the pain) about the thing you are discussing, especially when it pairs with facial expressions and body language.

The issue with text in general is that the only way to convey a tone is through text. No pauses, no voice volume change, no facial expressions and etc. So the text length would be more visible.

Regardless, I think this form of blog post is good and can have it's own category.

Their own chatbot says their average response time is 6h but based on personal experience it can take over a day to get a response.

Overall, I tested it to know it better, and now I know not to touch it again. :)

I don't know why I get this much offended when a random person online bundles all machine learning methods with the genAI.

It is OK if you don't like something, but don't get nasty about things that you don't remotely comprehend. Machine Learning existsted long before you were born, and will be here long after you are gone. It is in healthcare, navigation, banking, industrial production, traffic control, forestry, even potato sorting after harvest.

Just calm down and use the correct term. Tnx

My stove fan's LED stripe died. Opened it and noticed it is a 220v AC module that is very easy to detach. Brought it out and spent 20 minutes understanding the circuit, and with a multimeter narrowed it down to a single dead resistor.

Tuned out it costs only 0.25 euros. I bet changing the entire module would have costs way more and would have wasted more of my time too.

I wish more and more consumer-grade circuit boards were fixable and had large components instead of those microscopic parts.

#Signal again is having the issue that the messages are apparently sent but does not get delivered.

This is frustrating. I was remote working today and needed to use the #Emacs on my work machine. I think we, the scientific community, need to read this. GenAI models are tools, really performant one in fact, but the companies behind them are for-profit and they don't play by the ethical guidelines we have in place in #academia . I put it in my wishlist to read some scientific articles about the Cencel Culture. Socialogy and phycology are far from my field of research, but would be nice to educate myself about the premise of Cancel Culture if I manage to find some introductory and less technical articles, so that I can comprehend it without having deep understanding of technical theories and paradigms.

Any suggestions is highly appreciated.

That's why I'm suggesting two licenses.

Alas, it looks like a cool project with beautiful aesthetics. I wish them the best 🍻

I personally find it easier to try things in ielm.

David Wilson (npub1kff…as0y)

Distrobox and repology.org are the perfect combination. Needed the latest Zola on my Fedora (which have not packaged Zola at all), and Guix is one version behind (so as Nix).

In repology saw that AlpineEdge has the latest version of Zola packaged. One `distrobox create` later I have the software I need with a very low disk footprint.
