If you sow true seed, the plant that grows would be called true seed progeny. I planted some bulbs of true seed progeny.

Garlicana farm in Oregon is currently selling true seed progeny that you can plant as bulbs! You have to physically mail them payment, though, no credit card or Venmo or bitcoin yet

https://www.garlicana.com/garlic-varieties/true-seed-progeny/

You can also get your garlic where I did, from Gateway Garlic Farms, and pay with Venmo, but his inventory of TGS-related garlic is much lower. His website is not accurate and you can only reach him through Facebook and Facebook Messenger.

These are the two TGS sources I know of in North America, but I’m sure there are more; check out forums like Permies!

You can grow clones of true seed progeny by planting their bulbs for years and years if you wish! But ultimately my goal is to assist in the effort of increasing genetic diversity in the garlic crop by breeding TGS-producing garlic varieties and planting their seeds, hopefully producing varieties that easily set much seed, and also have delicious bulbs. 2025-11-23T06:10:01Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqsfz2cua8rsw6ytzx32lqrl4zk2aqweszte5kwy97mham79s9hwhmszyr9gd426ksnd2t0pwvjp845mnvdsvwnesztghzmfvddgnftz4ud7c789e86 In reply to nevent1q…h7wd
_________________________

Based is a term people use to mean that someone is saying stuff they agree with, that reflects their worldview and ideology.

In this case, my pastor was preaching about how wielding power over others is not what Christians are called to, and that empire will crumble but God’s Kingdom is eternal. 2025-11-22T17:39:15Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqszqn9v7lrvuhtklnhf7tclux90k8m5khrn49mlad4lyn4ls5rkv6qzyr9gd426ksnd2t0pwvjp845mnvdsvwnesztghzmfvddgnftz4ud7c2fq8a9 Excited to finally begin my True Garlic Seed journey!

If you’ve talked with me much about gardening, my obsession with TGS has probably come up. I decided I couldn’t wait any longer to have land. It is time to start now.

Last night, I planted garlic from Gateway Garlic Farms in containers:

Most prized: two heads of garlic the farmer saw actually producing seed and included as a freebie!

Next most prized: Jessie’s Girl “River garlic,” a seed-grown garlic that tolerates wet soil.

Also growing: Metechi and Chesnok Red which have been starting places for TGS breeders.

Someday I want to also order TGS offspring from Garlicana, but it is a pain to have to literally snail-mail payment to them. Maybe someday they will accept Bitcoin… a girl can dream.

Even getting a very small amount of each variety, it’s more than I can grow on my balcony. Hoping the rest can find homes in the gardens of family and friends.

#garden #urbangardening #garlic #garlicstr #tgs #truegarlicseed #grownostr

2025-11-22T17:14:25Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqsgysxv29ujzvxsmcj8fazlkw65fa74gl29r47m5m88fn7tkd4y3zqzyr9gd426ksnd2t0pwvjp845mnvdsvwnesztghzmfvddgnftz4ud7cn9tx9r In reply to nevent1q…0d24
_________________________

Still in the same time stream as everyone else 😁 still more of a loud Christian than a quiet one, just mostly off Nostr / lurking for a while

I have a new pottery-only npub now btw: wrensnest (npub1wre…9776) 2025-11-22T17:00:45Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqs88fxfgha4d9p8690xeu3wmp9tzvl7e4tl0p4mjglrxc86xytjtqszyr9gd426ksnd2t0pwvjp845mnvdsvwnesztghzmfvddgnftz4ud7caq6z73 This past Sunday saw another based sermon from my pastor

https://fountain.fm/episode/Mt5DUGICViQ8vd2sHXnf

#Christianity #church #based #podcasts #grownostr 2025-11-18T13:55:17Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqsyydutx2lll7y4m729s6pud0r9fn69l00accs7swnk80tlkanzrpczyr9gd426ksnd2t0pwvjp845mnvdsvwnesztghzmfvddgnftz4ud7c8kuuta In reply to nevent1q…6avt
_________________________

Thank you! How much does it matter?

Christians believe that Jesus’ birth and life as a human being is (partly) God’s move towards us to make Himself more comprehensible — comprehensible enough for us to learn from and imitate, comprehensible enough for some of us to have seen and touched and been served and healed by.

We call Him the Word of God. I don't hear anyone pointing to them, or men today who commit much more egregious acts than expressing their thoughts, saying,
“𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗻’𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀.” No, our response is usually, "𝐻𝑜𝑤 𝑓𝑎𝑠𝑡 𝑐𝑎𝑛 𝑤𝑒 𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑔𝑖𝑣𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑜𝑟𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑚?!"

Sin isn’t gender-specific.
And neither is calling.
So if we’re going to make this about gender, then let’s be consistent—
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐥, 𝐚𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐢𝐧?
Not to mention the long line of men in Scripture who failed, fell, or flat-out rebelled:

𝗛𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗲𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘁𝘂𝘀: “Their teaching will spread like gangrene” (2 Tim. 2:17).

𝗛𝘆𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗲𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿: “Whom I have handed over to Satan to be taught not to blaspheme” (1 Tim. 1:20).

𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿 (𝗖𝗲𝗽𝗵𝗮𝘀): “The other Jews joined him in his hypocrisy, so that by their hypocrisy even Barnabas was led astray” (Gal. 2:13).

𝟭 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝟱:𝟭: “It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that even pagans do not tolerate: A man is sleeping with his father’s wife.”

𝗝𝘂𝗱𝗮𝘀 𝗜𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘁: Personally chosen by Jesus—yet he betrayed Him (Luke 22:3–6).

𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗮𝘂𝗹: Anointed by God, later rejected for disobedience (1 Sam. 15).

𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗱: A man after God’s own heart—who committed adultery and murder (2 Sam. 11).

𝗔𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗻: First high priest, but led Israel into idolatry by making the golden calf (Ex. 32:1–6).

𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗻: The wisest man alive, yet turned to idolatry (1 Kings 11:4–11).

𝗘𝗹𝗶’𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 (𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗵𝗻𝗶 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗵𝗮𝘀): Priests who stole sacrifices and slept with women at the entrance to the tent of meeting (1 Sam. 2:12–25).

𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗮𝘀: Lied to the Holy Spirit and died under judgment (Acts 5:1–5).

𝗗𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘀: Abandoned Paul because he “loved this present world” (2 Tim. 4:10).

Let’s be honest: the issue isn’t that women are more prone to deception, sin, immorality, or that they were divinely designed to live under male authority.

The real issue is 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳—𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘸𝘦 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵.

We have a real problem with labeling control and power as holiness and obedience.

So, if we’re going to weaponize Scripture against women,
let’s be just as rigorous with men—
but then we'd have no one left standing.

𝑶𝒓...

We could repent for how we’ve mishandled God’s commission.
We could honor the 𝑤ℎ𝑜𝑙𝑒 Body of Christ—male and female.
We could submit to the Spirit who anoints whoever He chooses.
We could finally stop defending abusive, misogynistic systems—
and start defending the heart of God for all.”

— Stacey March

#Christian #Bible #faith #Church #womeninministry #womeninleadership #egalitarianism #mutuality #men #women #masculinity #femininity #biblicalmanhood #biblicalwomanhood #genderroles #grownostr

2025-06-07T03:52:49Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqsr2verqpyxy7msmu8prg5mheacwhl42eudw7egm5actqun0mnuapczyr9gd426ksnd2t0pwvjp845mnvdsvwnesztghzmfvddgnftz4ud7cyx59l7 In reply to nevent1q…qkn3
_________________________

This is awesome!
