Dear French people, please go to cinemas to watch Iron Boy, so distributors can display it in other countries for common folks too.
Bon week-end !

I understand we can't wait to celebrate Halloween or Christmas, because we want to have some fun. I'm not sure however whether such early celebrations like I see now on Fediverse or in real life are a good idea. Companies usually benefit from holidays, which it's most commonly seen in regard to Christmas.

You're right. A lot of effort to make something worse is completely pointless... and you are the lead developer anyway, so you know best your software. Still, I don't wanna close the topic just yet. I'd like to let the others share their P.O.V.

If I was either Prime Minister of Israel or Hamas leader, I wouldn't take from nor give to my enemy any money.
But I've never been a politician, so I don't know how I would behave.

Hello. Since you mentioned Faircamp, I want to share an idea. How about replacing Rust in the source code with either of these languages: ANSI C, Common Lisp, Scheme or Zig? I would like to see Faircamp as a lightweight alternative to Bandcamp in the same way Snac is a lightweight alternative to Mastodon.

Anyway, there are some issues with AI development in Rust:

While it's nice that Commodore 64 is back, it's a good thing to remember about software like GEOS Suite. I think retrocomputing shouldn't be just about increasing your dopamine level by video games if we want to make it relevant in modern times. Of course, since tech has advanced SO much since 80s, it's not gonna be like "now instead of MS Word we'll use GEOWrite". As tom jennings (nprofile…nu8v) wrote, a better approach is when we are taking inspiration from retro tools to make new ones more comfortable for users and more manageable for devs.
