Practical advice: USB-C charger can deliver power in a variation of voltages and currents. The charger and device communicate before the charger provides power, and the charger is limited by what it can do, what the target device wants, and what the cable supports. The most basic charger will do 5V 1A (ie, charge a phone slowly), while the fastest charger will do 48V 5A (ie, charge an E-bike in 3 hours).

You want to have a charger that supports at least the wattage your device wants. You probably have a 45W device, which will likely be 15V * 3 A. So find a 45W or 65W charger (which will be 15V * 3A, or 20V * 3.25A), and the device will instruct the charger to deliver the appropriate voltage.

This works for 95%+ of devices. You don't need to worry about toasting your computer with a too powerful charger. The biggest problem you should face is a device that doesn't want to charge from a particular charger, or that charges too slowly to be useful.

My wife has a 120W phone charger we use for laptops; we use her 100W laptop charger to charge phones, tablets and laptops, and we have a generic 65W charging station that can show exactly the voltage and current a device is taking that we use to charge whatever we need to charge.

1. There's toilet paper
2. There's no toilet paper, the roll is empty
3. The roll is gone, but the roll holder is empty
4. There is no place to even put a roll if you had one, but there is a toilet
5. The toilet is being rebuilt and the place to mount the roll holder does not currently exist

Most people only care about 1 or not 1 when they ask "is the toilet paper out"... but we kinda need the other details, so we don't try to screw a roll holder into nothingness and crash the system.

I still remember having to write essays. They were being graded on style and how much they agreed with what the author had as conceptions. Original ideas and conjectures were not welcome, and any deviations in style were definite no-nos.

The best I could do was copy/paste from the internet. The absolute worst idea was to provide a well-reasoned essay with a grounded opinion opposite to what the teacher had.

Can you blame people in this environment from using GenAI to write those essays? There is nothing of real value expected in them.

There's more raw code than the Windows exe is alone - 38MB of .text segment - but it also ships with 5.7MB of exception handling tables (!??!), and it includes a nice 147MB of debug information in there. Interesting that there's more debug data on Windows but the executable's smaller.
