We’re all using all sorts of technology despite partially or even strongly disagreeing with its foundation because it provides the best or safest option in a given scenario.
Discouraging people from using the only commercial password manager out there that’s widely recognized as safe because they decided to support a popular operating system that happens to have a controversial founder (and not even supporting that person directly) does a lot more harm to users’ safety than good without providing recommendations for safer and more usable alternatives.

I’m starting a little animation series where I showcase the Sukoon Font’s variable Kashida feature and tell people that https://kashida.fyi exists: Transform your Arabic text to include Kashidas following the traditional ruleset.
To animate this with the Sukoon Font, you need to activate the “Curvy Kashida” OpenType feature (ss05) and variate the “KSHD” axis using a slider in your design app.
Sukoon Font, out on @npub13qv…qvgn before the end of the year inshallah.

Kelmscott Mono is the Blackletter programming font you didn’t know you needed.

Given that all Google apps are heavily sandboxed and permissioned on GOS, I’m just using the Play Store and SecoreGo normally.
For me, an un-Googled phone is only important when you can’t restrict invasive apps. But now you can.
You’re still not required to sync your contacts, calendar, emails, files with Google just because you use an app store, so...

.io will (or may) disappear. That would be quite the mess.
Here's an article about it with some additional internet history.

I have always been a Naskh guy, or so I thought.
But it turns out that I love Kufi as much. Here’s an Arabic-only spread of the café menu I’m designing the font for.
Btw there’s a ton of intra-word kerning in there which was never necessary or even possible in Naskh with its flowy baseline. But this thing is just a brick you can and have to move around freely.
After I’m done with the café, I’m thinking of putting this font out on my own label, hopefully launching through FutureFonts first.

AP: Today, solar home energy systems exploded in several areas of Beirut.
Complete psychopaths.
Update: Also smartphones, radios, and intercoms.
They're so fucking creepy. What's next?
