Found the culprit! For some reason, it’s looking for the filter script under /usr/lib instead of /usr/local/lib.

Try:

QUERY_STRING="url=myrepo.git/tree/myfile" CGIT_CONFIG="/usr/local/etc/cgitrc" /usr/local/www/cgit/cgit.cgi >out.html 2>err.log

then look at the log.

Never mind, that’s a totally unrelated issue of my own ...

Never mind, that’s a totally unrelated issue of my own configuration. Sorry for muddling the waters. I’m puzzled, because the filter works as advertised from the command line.

Same here (not using highlight btw, just sourcing syntax-highlighting.py). I don’t have a fix, but by inspecting the page in the browser I see a Content-Security-Policy error related to script-src-attr, which is likely related. Trying to see whether injecting a meta tag via cgitrc’s head-include fixes it…
