Artrocity Studio presents: a romantic 1950s-style robot pitching woo at the traffic camera outside our high school. He holds blue and orange flowers (school colors) and a heart-shaped box of candies that are "Deluxe Chocolate-Covered Lug Nuts".

Cars have slowed down as drivers try to figure out what is going on. Students have posed with the robot, and several moms and school staff have gushed about how cute it is.

Scrap wood, cardboard boxes, four plastic, corrugated downspouts (for the arms and legs); light bulb. Acrylic paint and fixer.

Excellent metaphor for most stupid techbro AI sales pitches. It reminds me of this meme that was making the rounds last year, using beer consumption as a metaphor for oil consumption.

Nicely done, Sir!

My (post?) midlife crisis plan was to grow a desperation power ponytail and matching potbelly, and then get tattoos of childhood TV cartoon characters.

Instead I took up making art, mostly in the form of paper mache sculpture.

Any suggestions?

Artrocity Studio presents the sixth and likely last of a series of snails that for inexplicable reasons have household appliances on their backs instead of shells. The final snail has a washing machine. In a somewhat naughty move I put a red sock on top of a load of white clothes.

Wire, cardboard, paper mache, plexiglass for the lid. Acrylic paint and fixer.
