Just use the wonderful btrfs filesystem on both sides, and you can have instant snapshops, even of a running root filesystem.
You're problem is solved by using btrfs snapshot and then btrfs send / receive to transfer it to the other system.

Simplified summary:
1. Our consensus: empowering users to be indepentent of big corporation's control is a goal.
2. d1's point: morale and identity forbids collaboration with the enemy. Always stay on the good side, don't support the evil side.
3. My point: everything is a trade-off, the outcome is important. Every day, I make compromises when I interact with people and organizations that I view critically.

How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the LLM

I wrote the core of Leviculum, a Reticulum-compatible network stack, by hand. Then I ran out of time, let an LLM do the rest, and spent a summer building a test rig with 8 LoRa devices to keep it from wandering off into madness. Now messages hop between hidden nodes on trees in the forest.

The whole story:
https://leviculum.network/posts/how-i-learned-to-stop-worrying-and-love-the-llm

#Reticulum #Leviculum #LoRa #LLM

GLS rolled over and published only mealymouthed statements. In February 26 it backed down after public pressure. A German court separately ruled such closures unlawful: a third state's political listings are no basis for closing accounts here.https://rote-hilfe.de/meldungen/kontokuendigung-wegen-antifa-banken-vollstrecken-us-politik-deutschland

This is complex, but I think it's worth it because it will increase connection quality in real-word meshes.

This fix is about daemon implementations. It is not about the protocol itself. Means: A device with this fix can still talk without problems with a device without this fix.

This is a real problem.

Reason: Reticulum's design follows the KISS principle.
But #Leviculum follows the Keep-It-Testable principle. I created a concept with emulated radios in https://codeberg.org/Lew_Palm/Periculum/issues/28 to reproduce the problem. A fix for the Leviculum firmware & lnsd daemon will follow.
