That and night sights are about all the changes I do for my combat Tupperware.

Long ago I started out with a couple horrendous true DAO autos which probably calibrated me to think a stock Glock was not that bad. The first was this nasty little Keltec .40 caliber with a trigger like picking up a sack of potatoes and then it goes off like a bomb in your hand. Something in the trigger broke twice and I had to send it back for repairs. They stopped making the .40 model I believe because it was too much round for their little frame. Definitely not trustworthy for a self defense gun but very fun to hand off to someone for funny range day reactions!

The other was a Taurus PT-45 also with a ridiculously heavy pull but good for trigger reset dry fire at least.

The good thing is that we have plenty of worthy choices and if you live in a reasonably "free" state can still get what you want!

You'll have more choices for aftermarket parts and holsters etc. They are kind of the Toyota Camry of guns.

We lived near in Indian reservation in the Midwest when I was a kid. The stories of their record breaking blood alcohol content numbers up where normally a person would die were legendary.

I fortunately slept through it as a little kid, but one night on our gravel road two guys who had stopped to talk truck to truck were nailed by a speeding carload of drunk Indians. Apparently there were dead and wounded Indians all around our yard that night. My poor dad coming home from a 4-12 shift saw all the emergency lights and first assumed our whole farm had burned down!
