Will it be available outside of Australia and New Zealand? Specifically Europe? 🙃 2026-10-09T08:06:41Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqsf0hjt2lh8ex3rkwf9f5jszv4dv3dygqtymc63nz79sejnwlydawqzyrmgr8jc2qxaqmzavdlwu9pdhzege986zdfp4n9p9antmhqyc746jeuvjpe Can anyone recommend a good #programming book that is worth reading today? I already have a couple of years of experience, but try to extend my horizon a bit. Last one I read was the pragmatic programmer which had some nice insights...

Any general recommendation is welcome. What did you read recently that helped you in some way?

#coding #software #SoftwareDevelopment 2026-07-10T17:15:17Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqsthty0utzjgx439jqsn0kvl3wq2gukyfm6t0yylg0z44emdwcg9gqzyrmgr8jc2qxaqmzavdlwu9pdhzege986zdfp4n9p9antmhqyc746j6srsfq In reply to nevent1q…plwx
_________________________

Yeah the availability of books is also what I thought of. Amazon simply has most of them available. Not really a fan of buying everything through them, but the convenience can't be denied. 2026-01-28T20:16:57Z https://nostr.now/nevent1qqsfurudavf6te34g4e3h7vesdjk0twfp8gszvl8tpyxk8dp2vdu6tgzyrmgr8jc2qxaqmzavdlwu9pdhzege986zdfp4n9p9antmhqyc746jqkgsqq I am in the market for a new #ereader. Is there a recommendation from my fellow nerds here?

I have a #kindle that is 15 years old (literally!). So that one has no backlighting or anything. If I trade it in, I can get 20% off a new paperwhite from amazon which makes it a kind of nice price (~144€). But I wanted to consider other manufacturers. Is the #pocketbook era worth the extra price? Would be like 60€ extra. Any others I am missing?

Any input welcome. 2026-01-28T19:56:28Z
