I always felt like the witches from "Bell, Book, and Candle" were closer to those in "Bewitched". Fun fact about "Bell, Book, and Candle" - the sound effect created for the magic was later used for "Wonder Twins Powers, Activate!" in SuperFriends in the 1970s.

Visiting my late in-laws house yesterday and noticed they still had the dryer my husband and I bought them in 1997. The washer had been replaced, but the Hotpoint dryer was still chugging along. I think that's the last model year to expect that sort of longevity from Hotpoint.

I'm thinking society reached peak technology around late 2006. We had smartphones (Blackberries and PDAs) that allowed us to do the basic things. Cameras were decent. We basically had the same operating systems we have now. There isn't really a technological advance, including the iPhone and its copycats, that has truly _enriched_ our lives as much as it has complicated it.

Late 2006. In the world of technology, it probably doesn't get much better than that.

I Cher your concern, but she did it before it became mainstream, and her use of auto tune should have been relegated to the artistry she displayed in her music. Adopting the technology to fix that which was otherwise mediocre should have been a line that was not crossed.
