I used 2% milk but might try a fattier milk next time. Strainer worked well for my batch that started as just under 2L of milk. The central core leaked a bit of the yogurt so I might have lost about a 1/4 cup there. Rest was clear whey. Not sure if it was too full or just bad design with all plastic. But yogurt! Less tang than the store bought, but hubby said he preferred it.
