I haven't bought or eaten meat in over a year, and don't miss it. But guests at our holiday house left most of a pre-purchases "BBQ pack" which included some bacon and beef chops, along with assorted bits and pieces of non-meat stuff. I thought it was more respectful of the animals to eat the meat than to throw it away as waste (we have no one we could have given this away to, and our cats aren't given meat.)<br/><br/>But man, apart from the animal welfare aspect, I really don't miss the smell, the look, and the mess that goes with meat. Vegetarianism is just *cleaner*.<br/><br/>I'd be interested to know what you all would have done in this situation
