Although I'm pretty sure that the developers of the more serious programs and tools aren't exactly coding hillbillies and actually have a solid understanding of what they're doing, both code-wise as legal-wise.

One must register per country, pay a fee per country and supposedly in Sweden the registration offices are closed for summer holidays.

In Belgium they will (rightfully) pull you from traffic if you're riding motorcycle without full "protective" clothing.
Mandatory by law here:
- high boots (ankle must be inside boot)
- long trousers (any will do, unfortunately)
- long sleeves (same remark as above)
- gloves (not plastic)
- helmet

Which makes motorcycle less interesting than car for short distances: takes too long to suit up vs get in & drive off.
But decent protective clothing isn't luxury.

Not sure if there's a difference between .BE and .NL (since EU etc) but they've probably got some kind of loophole.
Like "Sure, you can get your own grid feed at non-ripoff prices. But you have to pass through our property and we charge €5K per meter to dig in your cable" - or something like that.

Or "OK, maybe it's not 100% legal what we do. You're free to leave if you don't like it. Otherwise pay up and stfu."

Here in .BE every energy contract can be cancelled (if you find a cheaper one for instance) without costs after 1 month.
Also if you initially signed up for 3 years or so.
I suspect they're buying cheap, tell you they're stuck on a long term (high price) contract and stuff +50% in their own pockets.
Which is not legal in .BE either: if you're selling energy to someone else with a profit, you need to be a registered energy company
