Absolutely nothing at all. There are two ways to approach a problem. Either you BUILD, or you COMPLAIN at other people who are building. If you're not building, you can feel free to be comfortable and complacent with the way things are, and watch some TV or go for a walk outside. You are not free to make demands, and you are not entitled to anything. It's very simple.

B-trees are a data structure crucial to making databases and therefore websites and the world work, but nobody knows what the B stands for.Bayer and McCreight never explained what, if anything, the B stands for: Boeing, balanced, between, broad, bushy, and Bayer have been suggested. Nostr is 10x easier. You can integrate it into a blog like it’s nothing. This is the dream people had for Mastodon in the beginning, that we would federate everything. That dream is actually possible on Nostr. But a specification isn’t enough - the past few months the community has proved that Nostr is viable by developing real software for it. So yes, it’s more viable because it’s easier, and because it has a large developer base that is constantly growing. This is simply not seen on ActivityPub.

Good evening, I’ve just deployed the first beta version of Mostr: a bridge between Nostr and the Fediverse.

More info here: https://soapbox.pub/blog/mostr-fediverse-nostr-bridge/

Source code: https://gitlab.com/soapbox-pub/mostr

The bridge is an ActivityPub server and Nostr client, written from the ground up in TypeScript with Deno. It generates RSA keypairs and pubkeys deterministically by combining the username with a SECRET_KEY. Sqlite is needed to store a reverse-lookup of Nostr to AP IDs, but otherwise it mostly works off the Web Cache API and the Nostr relay. I wrote nearly everything and gained lots of knowledge about cryptography.

Enjoy.
