Nuclear is better than wind in many respects, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't develop wind when/where it is viable. There are many places in the world where there is simply insufficient wind as a resource - the UK has a near infinite fetch for their offshore installations but that also makes maintenance a nightmare, especially in stormy seas. Candu reactors are immune to meltdowns and can, literally, run on gravel and we have ample waste storage for centuries.
