Going back to my comfort zone of the Debian branch of the Linux tree. Testing is a rolling release that pushes updates about as frequently as Fedora.

The machine didn't require me to have to chomp down on special imaging film pieces.

The x-ray source and imaging CCD were all in one assembly and they had an instant digital image to review right there on the spot. The abscess was immediately apparent, too.

There's an obvious abscess around the tooth that's been causing me pain and I've been given a 1 week course of antibiotics to bring it down. Hopefully that will bring me some badly-needed relief.

Will have to find out from the dentist later--probably next week--what the course of action will need to be once he's able to review the imaging.

As designed, the complication uses no feedback from its own output to trigger the helper logic which introduces the intercalary lag necessary to track the julian leap year.

The parallel block that introduces that lag sends its output clock through a 555 timer set up as a time-delayed Schmitt trigger with a frankly absurd time delay that I know is orders of magnitude longer than propagation delay.

I wonder if propagation delay through a little bit of 4000-series ...

Debian Testing was also in the cards, especially since one of my housemates wants to teach me how to build from source and I could have used that to get the latest vim features independently of Debian, but then that same housemate anti-recommended it to me because of how Debian forces its own Python package manager on users and... no.

I'm care negatively for needing to jump through hoops to get Python packages I want that aren't available The Debian Way™.

So to that end, I think I'm going to distro-hop over to Fedora, probably this upcoming weekend since I'll have both Saturday and Sunday off from work instead of just Sunday.

The process is also going to involve backing up /home so I can wipe the drive and repartition again this time using LVM so I can more freely adjust partitions as needed because whoops I made a mistake when partitioning this drive for Cachy and forgot that LVM is a thing.

2. Shelly, the GUI package manager, doesn't give me the option to install Flatpaks at user level! Only system level! After running updates last night, I discovered my root part is 98% full (1.5GiB left out of 64GiB!!)

/var/lib/flatpak has already consumed 40GiB out of a 64GiB root partition!! Not acceptable!! This usage should be in ~/.local/share/flatpak!!
