Transpobia has been tied up with eugenics since at least the 1930s. This is explicitly part of modern terfism at least since they created an association between trans and autism. Given that and their attacks on evidence based medicine, its not surprising that they're turning to young disabled women, using exactly the same terminology they use against young trans men.

If they keep the same formula, they will assert that disability in young women is a result of older disabled people (especially men and trans women). This is their source of social contagion for trans men. The fix is then to push disabled people completely out of public view, presumably by removing all accessibility. Already she seems to be (implicitly?) suggesting that a good use of age verification in the UK is to censor disability information. A lot of USians already act as if things like wheelchair use are catching, so at least some anglophones are open to this reasoning.

This, along with population overlap, is another good reason for the solidarity between trans and disabled people in the UK.

I really don't think most Britons want to take away people's canes or tear up ramps. Even if they hate disabled young people, they love their grandparents and understand perfectly well why they need mobility aids and access.

Every time I talk about my friend dying of heatstroke the June heatwave, I want to add that he was 48 and healthy. Because I know that if I don't, people will assume he had a health condition or was elderly. Because that would be less shocking and less upsetting. Because climate change has a massive element of eugenics built in to how we conceive of its victims.

In our mental model, climate change is eugenics, which in turn causes some degree of passivity in how we think of the inherent violence.

I do this. Everybody does this. We live in a society drenched in fascist messaging. Its inevitable we ingest some.

There are people worried about "splitting the vote" so that the Greens will act as a spoiler, denying Labour a victory and catapulting the Tories or Reform into power.

And, look, I have sympathy for this concern. Bit what I need cis people to understand is that (for some*) trans people, Reform isn't worse than Labour. They are both singing off the same hymn sheet.
