So been reading dracula and it has given me ideas for that one uhhhhh vn idea i have, mainly for an adaptation of it but in that world, it can work, i really like how dracula seems to have this weird presence that alters reality around him in a way, its pretty cool, so that could work with my world, ofc since in my story theres already this world full of evil and magic and shit id have to find a way to make dracula stand out from the other evil niggas in the og story and have a way so he wont show up in the story since it takes places about 100-200 years before the dracula story really shows up, so im thinking of maybe having it so dracula is slumbering away and, much like in the book, he cant technically leave his land, in the book its due to the whole "vampires need to rest in their native soil before the sun rises" thing so since in my story vampires work differently ill just have it so that the count was essentially "sealed" to his lands :BlobcatShrug: im thinking during some war during his vlad tepes days. Very rough idea but im considering having the Van Helsing bloodline be one of the families that hunt monsters (off brand Belmonts of this world) but due to some bs they lost their position, so this version of van helsing would also be an old scholar but he would have a personal grudge against dracula. It would be very similar to the book, least up to the part where he reaches london, from then on id introduce the faction of "werewolves" and have dracula have feuds with em, and conclude it with dracula pulling some bs and having a large portion of london be warped straight into his lands in transylvania where he would be at an advantage against the clans of werewolves :^) i really enjoy the different pov format of the book btw so ill integrate that aswell lol
