(Old) foodie with an array of expensive pots and pans here; read the quoted blog and get you some carbon steel or whatever the Made In or restaurant stuff is. I’ve been building some hexclad (not bc of Gordon Ramsey) to move toward mostly induction one day (I have a big gas range + an induction burner atm) and while it’s performing well so far I am not convinced of long-term resilience. I had aphids on my hydrangeas one year, so I got a pile of ladybugs to set free on them. It helped a bit! I’m not sure whether I did it right though.

fbook and bluesky are full of rallies and actions, some coverage in newspapers and MSNBC, but NYT + WaPo seem to be downplaying it as they kowtow to what’s his name, given AP is barred from the White House for refusing to say Gulf of America. There are news outlets still doing straight journalism (ProPublica, Mother Jones), but the billionaire-owned ones are largely toeing the line bc they just want to get richer/don’t want to face repurcussions.

Yes, Mac. I’ve been using Zoom on this machine for years, and this request is new. If it isn’t going to record everything, they need to update the popup, bc I will take photos and show my phone screen before I click that kind of blanket permission!

I may have misunderstood the settings, but Zoom seems to want to RECORD everything on my computer if I share my screen during a meeting. Presumably to train their AI, which I have already turned off. I am waiting for a critical mass of protest about this, because it sure feels like a violation!
