When resources that are infinite are controlled and resources that are finite are hoarded, we need to look at who is doing the controlling and who is doing the hoarding. Your answer is going to be the enemy of the working class and the proprietors of class war. That enemy is a long list of complicit politicians, CEOs, and other enforcers of capitalism such as landlords and cops. These are the class traders and class war mongers. You can see the propaganda machine in all of its glory right now, testing out multiple different narratives for Luigi to taint the potential jury pool and to pacify his supporters. It doesn't matter what Luigi's political background is or his family wealth. He was hurt by the same system and the same capitalist agenda that we are all hurt by. This is what class unity looks like and it's the first step to forcing lasting change.

Regarding one of those points, Cuba is a very small country which by proximity and power is deeply affected by the US embargo. An embargo which exists for many reasons, including intentionally harming Cubans and making them look like a failure of an example of Socialism. However, despite the embargo forcing hardships on Cuba, Cubans have gotten many important things right thanks to Socialism. Here is a list of examples:

* They have more doctors and nurses per capita than most any mother country including the US.
* Their free, national healthcare system is robust and accessible to all
* Universal access to social services
* More women in the work force, less unemployment

For these achievements, the socialism in place in Cuba is of a top-down design which has its own shortcomings and is still rather new to its citizens. No example of Socialism is perfect. Nobody has ever claimed that there's one right way to establish Socialism, and it looks like many different things to different people. That's kinda the point. However,

About 6-7 years ago I stopped identifying as a Democrat (for obvious reasons) and Bernie Sanders gets credit for introducing me to the term Democratic Socialist. From there, I continued learning. In the last year or two I've come out as simply a Socialist.

I recognize many others are on that path as well. I would like to say to them:

The reason the word Democrat is so commonly put in front of Socialist is because of internalized fear mongering and misinformation regarding what Socialism is. It takes time to un-learn the cold war propaganda. It feels safer to take baby steps. That's valid. People still respond in unpredictable ways, socially, when they hear the S word. But give it a try. Seek out information, question your own beliefs.

"Did US sanctions cause the issues in Cuba, and blame it on Socialism? Why does National Socialism use that word even if it's not Socialism?" Is a good place to start.

Ditching the D word in front of the S word is a little scary at first, but it's liberating to break free from the angry mob's expectations as puppeteered by US Imperialism.

:) Party For Socialism and Liberation. It's one of the only nationally organized socialist parties in the states with rising popularity.

They have memberships, action networks, sponsors, several different ways to be involved. Claudia De La Cruz ran for President. She's a very impressive individual. I have learned a lot watching/listening to seminars and their YouTube channel playlists while I cook and clean. A wealth of knowledge.
