I've been thinking about how pollinators fuel a whole ecosystem of predators. They're pretty to look at and all, but the sheer volume of bees that move around flowering patches mean that there is a constant stable food source to sustain insectivore predator populations. That's the principle behind companion planting, but I'm not sure if there has been any ecological studies mapping out these interactions. (Maybe there is and I haven't dug deep enough into the literature)

It took me a while to get the right angle for this shot. But when I did, it really worked. I was lucky that the opening of the spider was just at the same angle that the sunlight was refracting towards. I think this is my best shot this year.

I'm considering a new camera body for my X-mount lenses. My choices are either to get an older used body like the X-T2 /T20 or upgrade to the newer X-T5/ 50 line.

On one hand, I like the T2 generation of cameras, and they are the more enjoyable camera. On the other, the current T5 would make bird photography easier and the IBIS would help a bit with Macro.

The T5 is also 3 time more expensive. I could get a new lens with the difference.

Any thoughts?

If the person is sitting on the left side, they will face away from the right side of a manga panel (unless you draw more desks). Ideally, you want the dialogue to be in the same orientation as the person making it. So right side is best for a right-to-left reading direction.

But somewhere along the line, it must have become codified into convention.

In Southeast Asia, many communities lived in subsistence economies that were moneyless until the 19th Century. Money was used for long distance trading, but rare in daily life.
