Often the apps with a web component will break before your phone or its OS will.

I regularly see people with smartphones over 5 years old running an is at least that old, containing nothing but the base apps as included at the time of purchase, never updated, never an App Store visit.

I’m not sure if it can be generationally linked. I do know people who really can’t stand any film made before 1970 (when ratings started) and there are those that can’t handle black and white film, period.

One or both of these preferences might be linked to having a cable TV childhood as opposed to a broadcast TV childhood someone older might have had. Exposure to films made 20-30 years earlier was commonplace for broadcast.
