I feel like I have to say something about the state of hobbyist hacking today with the Switch 2 having it's first vulnerability discovered through the use of LLMs.

The work I'm the most proud of in my time spent poking at computers was inspired by countless hobbyists that made me want to pursue reverse engineering on my own terms, however productive any of it was or not. The past couple months have been seeing an art form getting eroded on a daily basis that I've been invested in for nearly 20 years.

Computer programming is art and multiple folks I've admired and/or been acquaintances or friends with are reconsidering how to proceed with their life because of all the recent noise you might have heard about video game recomps, fan translations, vibe coding ports of software to other platforms... this goes beyond a loss of jobs, it's rapidly becoming a loss of people who are having their artistic passion disappear, many at the same time.

Something I've been curious about for a few months, now knowing a few accounts of how some babyfurs started with the 'sona and became interested in diapers later, and vice versa.

I've been fixated with diapers for as long as I can remember (as a literal 4 or 5 year old), but the desire to make a 'sona only started to linger in my early 20s and my first comm was only just under 3 years ago, received it a day after turning 27.

Haven't forgotten about the hub of the cubs, real life stuff simply had me drop off indulging my little self for a bit.

I don't know why I feel like I need to address "hey, I disappeared for a few months!" but so it goes - tentatively I have plans to move, work on my mental health formerly again, and for the first time in my life have the agency to make a bespoke little space for myself.

I'm convinced that's going to do wonders for my sanity and by proxy, I got padded for the first time in about a month and a half. It's a form of self care that is always diluted for me in a co-living situation, being stuck in your bedroom etc. and my resolve has never been this strong to make it happen.

Still hard to really get in the mood proper right now, but I couldn't resist taking a few new pictures in new (to me) diapers. That'll be it's own CW post soon. :blobcatblush:

Oh my would I love to fall on a rabbit hole of some sort - I love repair or mod computer hardware and software that's a bit ambitious, but I swear the impetus for those ideas have been escaping me - either in "too ambitious" territory or "this didn't take you very long to finish" categories (have a fun example I might post that I did recently in the latter category)

I definitely feel like I'm in a bit of a rut in terms of "newness" in life - the example of music is curious since that's actually been on the up in terms of "new to me" things going for me... but the real problem likely exists somewhere in feeling like my real world is just stagnant.

My guess for why it has to be "hush-hush" is probably a combination of how controversial (deserved or not) you are outside of CubHub (and this is only based on my observations on what I see you post about here) and your general uncompromising artistic choices - which I personally respect quite a bit, but a lot of people don't like associating with people that already have a bad reputation.

This isn't a put down, just me being frank about how you can somehow live in ivory towers while also outwardly signaling you like diapers - a difference between shutting people out and mutual respect for people that don't align with your tastes in the same corner of life. Many people prefer the first one when they're afraid of other people.

I was reminded of "Maggie and The Ferocious Beast" a few weeks ago and I hardly remember it - but I'm lamenting that it doesn't appear to have a complete DVD set or otherwise available to locally own. Streaming yes, but even P2P grey area places are failing me here!

I don't expect their to be high demand for cartoons for toddlers, but I'd love to have it! (and see if my literal 4-5 year old self actually liked it!) and it's kind of unobtainable. :blobfoxcry:

I don't even see this on my end, and I don't object to the idea on the surface either - Wikipedia has always been full of articles that link to other articles, subgroups of related topics at the bottom of an article when applicable, and some pages a "further reading" group of articles appended at the end.

I'm not sure I'd use such a feature personally, but I don't think "every" implementation of algorithmic curation should use TikTok as a barometer either.

CDKeys rebranded to Loaded late last year (terrible name imo!) but they've served me well for maybe 15 years now. I get emails with this title and assume it's from a ABDL mailing list only to go... oh right, those Loaded emails with the funny name.

They're actually pull-ups, Step-Ins from Tykables - I wouldn't advise them as a replacement for proper diapers, but the padding is thick enough to comfortably hold a full wetting and maybe a little more if you're careful. Very practical when out and about. I do quite like the prints myself!
