You may recall me mentioning my annoyance at bad wiring in places I have lived, well take a look at this:
Yes they actually used the Earth cable for the Live or Neutral, I can't be sure which but it is a light so hardly matters.
To make things worse it all runs through a metal conduit from the time of Edison, nearly.
You really can't make this shit up, marked it with tape for future adventurers.

Apple keeps trying to push Tahoe on me, and there isn't anyway I am installing that badly designed UI. It is bad enough on the iPad but on my laptop no way.
It may be fine for 20 somethings with perfect vision but us old fucks need all the help we can get in the vision arena.
Form over function fails again, Apple has become expert at tacky crap in the last few years. Steve where are you now.
Not just Apple though so many designs are Form first and Function a sad second.

Today I managed to drill a small hole in my finger, I am apt to do such things with power tools, luckily it was only a small nick, but I did leak a fair bit for a while. Didn't help that I kept knocking the wound and kept breaking the seal.
Nature is amazing , me not so much. Luckily time and a little sleep seem to have started the repair in earnest.
Not close to the time I sawed through my fingers with a circular saw, the pinnacle of my clumsiness.

For the first time in my life we have an induction hob on the cooker, now I am a huge fan. The thing is so fast at heating coffee pots and pans and definitely uses a lot less power. Plus it only heats in the contact zone. A good excuse to buy some new pans to replace our ancient collection.
Recommended if you're wondering and in the market for a new top.

The problem with building a cabinet of sycophants and idiots is the advice, should they even listen, is going to be idiotic and validating.
The trouble with the rich and powerful in general is they tend to do this all the time, challenges are seen as attacks and the more powerful the more paranoid they become. Democracy often fails because the electorate tend to go with form rather than function, it sounds great but does it actually make sense, most never bother with part two.

A little tip for the node is to set Material Output to EEVEE (from ALL) and the you can add another for Cycles and that way can use the same material on both render engines and get the best result each time automagically.
