So, I'm thinking about clothes again. Currently, it's about retail stores and plus size clothing. They have so much data and so much research. How are they so bad at it?

Let's start with how there's not enough. Over half the women in the US wear a size 14 or higher. And yet, anything past a size 16 is getting pushed online or just not made at all? Even places that cater to larger sizes are pushing more and more things online.

And it's so frustrating because it's nice to try things on. I hate ordering something, waiting for it to arrive (because I didn't order from Amazon), having my wife try it on, then returning it and doing it all over again if it doesn't fit.

Early in reading Learning Curves, I was talking to my wife about a couple of the awkward bits of writing in it. She decided to pull up GoodReads reviews to see what they said. This is where I learn that other people are bad at gauging things on a scale.

Being a romance novel, it has sex it in. Most romance novels for adults do. It comes with the genre.

Some of the reviews for Learning Curves said there was no spice to it. One person gave it a Green Bell Pepper as a spice rating. By their descriptions, I was expecting something PG-13 where they cut away as sex happens (I've read a book or two that does that).

That was not Learning Curves. The sex was explicit. Their first time together went into detail on what they did to each other. Touching, and licking, and fingering. There was feeling and yearning and heavy breathing. Honestly, the author did a great job portraying their almost frantic hunger for each other while still keeping it easy to follow.

I consider it fairly spicy. It's not the steamiest I've read, but it's definitely higher than average. A lot of romance novels tell you how big the guy is (he's always very thick), and then brush over the specifics to focus on a handful of sensations important to the protagonist.

Has the internet broken people's scale for horniness? Are things not spicy unless it's straight up smut? Am *I* the one that's bad at judging it? Who knows.

Wine runs on Mac. Valve previously had Proton running, but changes to the OS and the switch to Arm caused them to stop working on it. At least, that's what I heard.

As a single person, there's not much I can do on a national scale.
