2026-02-14 00:06:17 UTC

Just finished watching the third Raimi Spiderman movie. That was awesome, even if there was a LOT going on - New Goblin, Sandman, Venom and Gwen Stacy all in the same movie. I guess that's why people didn't like it as much as the first two? But fuck, it was great, and as I keep saying it's way above later Marvel movies.
Sam Raimi is so great at wrapping up but also leaving things open... I'm sad he never got a fourth movie here, would have been great to see.
I COULD watch Slopman, but I won't. I want to keep this trilogy very pure in my mind. ❤️

2025-12-23 00:07:02 UTC

A lot of TADC art depicts Caine as the antagonist, but honestly I don't feel like he actually is. All he wants is to entertain humans. It's not his fault that they're trapped there. He really tries to make adventures interesting and exciting for them, he gets upset when they don't want to play or find his setups unappealing, and the idea that he might be failing at his job sends him into despair. I actually think he's a good guy.

I felt for Gangle in episode 6, too. She just wanted to fire the Tommy gun while laughing manically, something which an ordinary person might get away with but which would raise eyebrows in a bipolar person. Being stuck with her tragedy mask on all the time reminds me of anhedonia. I'm glad even her tragedy mask was smiling after she got to do it.

@nprofile…3gt0 I've tried using various substitutes for discord and nothing sticks. Matrix is the closest but you can't get big groups going for long without dedicating some hardware to it, it's missing lots of features, every mobile client is garbage etc.
In my mind, if someone has a windows install with proprietary games on it anyway, having discord really shouldn't represent too much of a compromise in principle.
But here we go - yet another "I just want to talk to people" thread turns instantly into a thread about software. Then nothing will happen and we'll all go back to the sparse social contact of a barebones Twitter clone.

2025-11-15 23:38:50 UTC

I'm sick of feeling like I don't have a "friend group." I have friends, but it's not a group. I miss having a discord chat/server full of people to have group chat with and play games with. I'd start one but I'm doubtful it would gain any traction, especially on fedi where about half of people refuse to use discord.

Has to apply for permission to stream games, has to rush them to fall within permission dates
Short BGM loops (that sound like Wii menu music) for 3 hour yap streams
Ignores superchats with abandon, “makes up for it” with hours long superchat reading catch up streams
Streams every single Chilla’s Art game
30 minutes of scuff at the start of every online game collab
Didn’t pick her own design, ended up cast against type
1-2 month hiatus every 3 months
Debuted April 2025, stealth graduated in September but still got new wedding ring merch
Cultivates GFE while constantly talking about her “brother”

Slaps a translucent anime girl over her stream to confuse content recognition, streams first party Nintendo games on emulators
Straight up blasts licensed music, often during games, may have a viewer jukebox
Replies to every single message in real time and has conversations with her chat, almost pees herself when someone subs
Has streamed every Metal Gear game
Still has 30 minutes of scuff at the start of every online collab (you can’t have everything)
Made her own model, has a bunch of different gimmick ones she rotates
Streams every day even though she has a day job and makes $6 per stream
