Yeah, tried it. bestware support told me, they are not in charge, cause they only sell the hardware and I should use windows, then it all works.
I still believe that there is a demand for this (not only on my side, there should be a lot of people having this problem) and that there is a way to implement a solution into the system that can be easily used by endusers (like me).

attached 2 screens of tcc, spec overview here: https://bestware.com/de/xmg-focus-17-m25.html
actual machine diff: 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD, 14900HX
3rd image kde-sysinfo screen
BIOS setting is on "performance mode"
4th image is cpufreq-info output
Do you need anything more?
And thanks in advance for your help 🙂

It is an Intel Core-i9-14900HX. Do you need anything more?
In tuxedo control center, i can see that my "max performance" profile has a blurred option in the profile overview that read "balanced", other profiles have "silent". Maybe this is a hint.
Thanks for helping....

Just checked PowerSetting options both in #tuxedo_os control center and also in kde options "energy mode".
In #KDE there is no option to turn on/off that affects the cpu clock settings.
In tuxedo's control center, options are on "max settings" but with no effect (still only to be able to slide from 0.8 - 2.2 GHz).
Any hints, maybe @npub1sfg…fqh4
BIOS option is on "performance mode" (highest avail)

Not even once till now .... yesterday, it compiled shaders for over 30 minutes on CPU, all 32 cores on 100%, cpu was 2.2GHz (from btop).
Power settings (Tuxedo Control Center) was on "Max performance"

#followerpower I do have an Intel 14900HX CPU running #linux with #kde (#tuxedoos), so far, so good.
But it is only running on 2.2GHz, it is able to run at 5.8GHz but it does not use this option.
Is there anything I have to activate, to install, to do so that my CPU is using it's full potential?

Normally, I would chose @npub1sfg…fqh4 , but they do not offer a 17" gaming laptop, so sadly, I have to elsewhere...

Thanks for sharing, i did take a look at your suggestions. Unfortunatly, they do only offer up to 16" size. I want to have 17" plus, so there novacustom will not be an option for me ;-)

Okay, now we are talking: Is it possible to turn it off on a XMG? I do know, that this is not possible on a new acer predator 18, so this is a very important question for me.

You installed it via usb-stick? How was this going, just put it in and boot or did one need to adjust the BIOS for this? Any tips?
I am facing a decicion between a xmg and a tuxedo laptop and i am very happy about some input

To be precice: I am thinking about this one: https://bestware.com/de/xmg-focus-17-m25.html

After over 40yrs of using #Windows (back then, Win95 was new and before I use DOS) I deleted all my windows files and installed #linux on all machines. All Linux 2025.
There will be a hard time in the first few weeks (games will not work right away), I know, but I am sure: It's worth it.

In case you didn't know: I do also write _real_ applications. One of them is #dechk that helps you out once you had a hard drive crash and want to recover .chk-files from #windows. It's #free, not yet open.
