The idea people need to remember is:
instead of (or in addition to) attacking the cipher itself, you attack or subvert the entropy source / PRNG that feeds keys into it. Once the generator is predictable to the attacker, the rest of the encryption collapses. Dual_EC_DRBG became the textbook public example after the Snowden leaks.

PART ONE:
It’s inevitable that we will see more aggressive supple chain attacks or just outright infiltration to coerce companies to release malicious firmware updates or even malicious hardware. (ex: Ledger reseller CryptoBillis)
—It never really occurred to me until Coldcard incident
That hit pretty close to home as id been advising people to use Coldcard and Trezor for years.
Here’s the “blurb” of what I’ve published about it.
All of this is “assumptive” based on the citations provided.
Even if I’m completely wrong, it’s totally plausible.
—Thats the real point.
“Switck deliberately introduced the weak-entropy flaw in Coldcard’s seed generation. A nation-state actor honeypotted him by exploiting his deviant sexual interests (he’s Trans), after which he reduced the available entropy just enough that ordinary collisions stayed improbable while still leaving the space searchable by anyone who later enumerated it.
He disabled the hardware RNG build error so the misconfiguration produced no warning and appeared to be an ordinary amateur mistake.
The same person signed the relevant GitHub commits under both the Switck and Peter D. Gray identities using one key, concealing that a single individual both wrote the vulnerable library and integrated it into production firmware.”

I was just looking at the protein my sister bought on Amazon and noticed that you need TWO scoops (70 grams total) to get the 32grams of protein advertised.
Here’s comparing the generic whey I buy in bulk that gives me 25 grams for ONE 33 gram scoop. (120 calories)
That’s like HALF filler in MM.

Here’s what’s making up the difference:
Maltodextrin and a non dairy creamer made from sunflower oil and more maltodextrin,
—That's where the 270 calories comes from. So not only is MM ripping you off, they’re feeding you seed oils and simple carbs.

Super interesting comment post by Joe Burnett today.
A Johns Hopkins cryptography professor post suggested that: “we might lose public key cryptography.”
(I’ll post the full text in the comments for any that don’t click on X links)
—Well worth the read if you’re interested in the quantum threat to bitcoin and why it’s important to not reuse bitcoin addresses.
“The attacker needs your public key.
If your public key is already exposed, your coins would be vulnerable to this kind of breakthrough. If it remains hidden, this specific attack requires that key to become exposed.
Glassnode’s May 2026 analysis estimated that roughly 70% of issued BTC had no public-key exposure on-chain.
For addresses that hide the public key, spending reveals it. Reusing that address afterward leaves any remaining or newly received coins exposed. Avoiding address reuse is best practice.”

What happened SIX years, SIX months, and SIX days ago? 🤔
“April 1, 2020, fell in the early surge of the COVID-19 pandemic. The United States had become the country with the most confirmed cases (roughly 180,000–200,000) and its reported death toll had passed 4,000, exceeding China’s official total at the time. Daily U.S. deaths that day were among the highest recorded so far, with some counts exceeding 700–900.
The White House coronavirus task force projected that even with continued social distancing, 100,000 to 240,000 Americans could die.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis issued a statewide stay-at-home order that day.”

“Power selects for a specific personality type”
F.A. Hayek spells this out in Planned Chaos simply and directly in this ~99 page book.
In a centrally planned system, the people who rise are not the most competent or the most honest.
—They are the most willing to exercise force against strangers, the most comfortable with contradiction, and the most skilled at coalition-building through favors rather than merit. Government filters for the bad ones from the start.
The mechanism is straightforward. Political power means controlling resources you did not earn. Capturing that control requires outcompeting rivals who have no ethical constraints. A principled candidate refuses to promise contradictory things to different voter blocks . An unprincipled one does it without blinking. The unprincipled one wins. Repeat this selection pressure across hundreds of electoral cycles and you get the U.S. Congress: a body where the average member has held office for over a decade, raised millions from interested parties, and delivered almost nothing measurable to the people who voted for them.
Bureaucracy compounds the problem. Once entrenched, state agencies attract people who want authority without accountability. You cannot fire most of them. The FDA, the TSA, the Federal Reserve all function this way, staffed by individuals whose career advancement depends on expanding the agency's reach, never on serving you efficiently.
A must read.

If you’re booking weeks at a time that sounds doable. $100 night in tourist areas will easily get you a nice room but that goes waaay sown if you book months
First time I went, i rented a car and drove all over. Did a bunch of tourist stuff but the stand out I mentioned before were big standouts. If you want to stay at the beach, you can take a taxi from the airport to libertad (big city grocery etc)on beach or el zonte which is a tiny little surf town about 20 min down the road. Once you’re there, the bus comes every 20 minutes down the main road and it’s $.50cents. You can take that between el zonte, el tunco (tiny surf town) and la libertad.
That are provides an awful lot to do when you’re not writing.
El zonte is a little hippy surf town and I have 6-8 connections there if you decide that route.
Dont know if you still have my number but if you want to call me if you have more questions.

There’s a guy on insta that reviews each one of these from a collector’s perspective and I always watch the whole thing. We were too poor so I never had any of these.

Spent last 3 summers there with my son.
Mostly familiar with El Zonte which is very quiet and Coatepeque which is town on a volcano with lake in it.
I drove all over the country and these two places were real standouts. I also stayed a bunch of airbnbs for a week at a time meeting the locals so i have some opinions on that too. Let me know.
Whats the daily/nightly budget etc?

Hopefully you’ll have a listen to that portion in the second link. It’s a great interview.
I didn’t understand the unintended consequences of enabling code script until I did 🍻

I used grok because I couldn’t remember but this is a great place to start
The discussion you’re looking for is **Bitcoin Mechanic on Peter McCormack’s show**, episode **WBD792 — “The Battle for Bitcoin with Bitcoin Mechanic”** (27 March 2024).
Official YouTube chapters put the relevant section at:
**2:29:20 — Covenants, scaling, & antifragility**
That’s the part of the interview where they get into covenant upgrades (OP_CAT is the live one in that period, tied to the Quantum Cats campaign). Earlier in the same episode they also talk about “cats on the chain,” but the covenant/OP_CAT-risk conversation is in that last chapter.

One of the most interesting things about Bitcoin is that government bans have only further proven its value.

Ai chat is a great tool for a lot of things, discussing politicly sensitive issues isn’t one of them.

Whenever I see a photo of Sam Altman, I think of this other unlikable fuck character from Aliens.
It’s like they picked him perfectly for the roll of a self serving nitwit.
