Ugh, I went away for a vacation for 2 weeks and my node hung up while I was gone. Damn thing hadn't been down for 6+ months. Worst timing. Anyway, had a lot of force closed channels when I came back. It just needed a damn reboot and everything is all good now. If anyone is looking for new channels, please consider mine which is normally pretty active. Thanks https://amboss.space/node/0332f9a34057f5edf02d97f0cb484c78a0420048f5031124f4b53cc2006d05c62e #nodestrich #lightningnode

Tonight’s wine chain: Two Wolves’ Petit Verdot. Made by vintner Alecia Moore AKA musical artist Pink. Between tours she went to wine school and learned how to make it herself. First time I’ve tried her very hard to get wines. Her story makes it that much better. It’s a good all around wine. #winechain

The LA fires just won’t end. The Palisades Fire turned towards Brentwood last night. We could see it far off in the distance from our bedroom window. Took this shot with a telephoto zoom lens at 500mm on my roof, meaning it's very far away for now. https://i.nostr.build/GRGJeXNfUnVR2nCx.jpg

If anyone has a channel with my node, I apologize but I’ve taken it offline for now. I'm not overly partial to any one of them myself but I agree with your order of preference: Suckling, Robinson, Parker. It's all like the movie critic stuff to me where much of it is subjective. I've tried some that they've rated really high and didn't like it much.

Took me a while, but my free weekly local AI event reminder service is available to Nostr users finally. It's a super basic setup, but it works. I’ve been enjoying what it sends me prepping for Halloween with my kid soon. Sign up on the site using a Nostr extension, fill out your preferred details, and you'll get a weekly DM containg local event notices based upon your interests. It is sent every Tuesday morning. Sorry, but it is only for US based locations. #grownostr #AI #events

Just go to the site and login using an extension. Then fill out your info. Next week you’ll get a DM with the details.

I use AWS S3, DigitalOcean Spaces, Wasabi sys, and more nearly daily for clients and myself. I could write code to just dynamically use one of those here too. But when it comes to posting on Nostr, I am supporting the "local" #Nostr biz people like @npub1nxy…avr7. I believe there are other places who do this as well, but they are the ones I chose to use. This place won't grow if people don't support the devs developing on it. I know from my own experiences here too.

I've been toying around with product data aggregating services for a client using AI and decided to launch a series of daily deal websites partly to learn and partly to help myself find deals for items I need. There's like a billion discount sites out there, but doing it myself let's me focus on what I need. I scour online for discounts and then use AI to get me what I am looking for the most. Sharing in case anyone else also wants to find daily deals for electronics & gadgets, mini pcs & laptops, prepping supplies, toys, and baby products. Each of these topics have their own site. Mini pcs and laptops: https://bestcomputer.deals/ The other topics can be found by clicking around there. Sites update daily. #grownostr

I kept missing stuff that I would have loved to attend with my son. End up being too distracted, busy, etc. There's a finite time a kid will want to attend specific events. If they miss it that year, they may not want to go the next year as "it's for babies" etc. This was my answer for myself. Decided to turn it on for everyone else to use and help me test too.

Non-Nostr dev stuff: Built this for myself, but am making it available for anyone else in the US to use while I am testing it out. Ever get annoyed when you find out about an event after it happens? I built a simple email service that gathers local event details then utilizes AI to notify me weekly when upcoming events match my interests. Going to start with a limited user base, so limiting the number of testers right now. Please share this post with anyone you think might be interested.
To sign up, go to https://socialbug.ai and fill out the form. Include your email address, the nearest town or city you'd like to get events about, and a paragraph describing what you are interested in.
Curious how well this will or will not work elsewhere in the country. Just send me any bugs or issues you experience from the site or weekly emails that will probably start later next week. #grownostr
