Great point!

If we were to build mobile app. What platform would you use it on? iOS or Android? Also would you prefer Sunami Music for listener experience or Sunami Studio to publish your music? We can prioritise development depending on what people would actually use.

It would be great to have you released on Sunami too! We are distributing music over Nostr and RSS so people can support you directly!

We've added support for Shorts and Videos!
It's following NIP-71 https://nostrhub.io/71 so any videos published will be available to all other Nostr video clients!
Over next days we will be integrating display of videos into tracks and profile pages. As well as updating main page with the new layout.
Call for artists is to try out video publishing! It will massively help to test and develop features like queues, swapping between audio and video when listening, etc.
Please note that for these videos are related to tracks (so you can have many per track) but there's still main track video added as part of music track itself. Please provide feedback on how to make it more obvious and easy to manage.
Share it with your fellow artists and let's get music videos on Nostr going!

In our humble opinion Nostr is a way better protocol to communicate and exchange information as it's events based and very dynamic. RSS is static content which always needs to be queried and scanned.
We feel that best analogy is that RSS is like posters on street boards, distributed, owned by people but always needs collecting and Nostr Music is more like radio where everyone can tune in. From engineering perspective benefits are vast. In time will see what's best. In the meantime we see if we can combine the two.
Will fix switching between audio and video, good point!

Yes, with a caveat if this service follows a bunch of standards like NIP-96 or NIP-B7. It would be amazing if you try adding a server then trying to upload new track to see if it manages to upload to your server or it fallsback to default ones.

2026-01-24 22:27:17 UTC

Sunami Studio got a fresh look and Media Library!
Please take time to explore how media files are used in your tracks and releases!
IMPORTANT:
This feature allowed us to fix a bug where we were uploading files to all blossom servers but only actually using one server when publishing music. Now it uploads to first server in the list.
We'd encourage to review "Unlinked Files" section to see if there's some unused or duplicate files which can be cleaned up. Bear in mind that if you've uploaded files to blossom.band and nostr.download with other services they would appear in Unlinked Media tab as well.
Any feedback is welcome!
Additionaly, please send us blossom servers people use so we can add support for them since they tend to use slightly different auth methods, especially when it comes to paid services.
@nprofile…fh2l @nprofile…9369 hope you'd find this feature useful!

Good point, will implement something like that. We also see that now we have audio, image and video it can be that some parts are AI generated and some human made, perhaps we'd make it specify what part is AI if any.

It also works for RSS feeds generated via Sunami!

No, it's because your server disallows CORS requests. Maybe you add sunami.app as a trusted host. For now we've added this screen asking to open video in a new window, it seems to work.

We added synced lyrics (SRT) support for Nostr Music!
Now you can make your songs even more engaging to listen.
You can upload existing SRT files or create one using built-in editor.
Thanks @nprofile…2ykk helping to test that.

Trending tracks now include RSS distributed tracks. Will slowly be adding more RSS music to enrich listener experience.
Learning: Nostr Music has much better linking between tracks and artists. Also track metadata is way more structured.
Enjoy new music by All Kings All Poets, Circle The Earth, Survival Guide, The Wolf, Vicious Guide. Thanks @nprofile…kqpu for bring some of these on board 🙏 Tag their Nostr profiles if possible.

We propose to add `license` and `ai_generated` tags to 36787 Music Track events. See custom NIP: https://nostrhub.io/naddr1qvzqqqrcvypzqczngw4nd7r80gxntalrs7f8hkhlfz9f9v7hylaj5s70022h8jx5qy28wumn8ghj7un9d3shjtnyv9kh2uewd9hsq9mdw4ekjcedw3exzcmtwvkkz6fdd35kxetwvdjsdyh5hr
Reasoning to add new tags:
* license - prevents legal issues by clearly stating how music can be used, enabling platforms to filter content by usage rights and protecting artists from unauthorized use
* ai_generated - enables transparency and user choice by letting people filter for human-created vs AI-generated content

Yes, although it should be as simple as RSS import. Fountain works on RSS feeds and Sunami app works on Nostr protocol so that any Nostr apps can use it easily.

2026-01-08 12:40:14 UTC

As RSS feed is just a container with links it will create Nostr events with the same links to your audio. So you still can self host your music. At the same time if you are coming from Wavlake or dont like your hosting you can reupload audio and artwork to Blossom servers (Nostr Media servers).
Nostr Music is a standard for music nostr notes used by us, zaptrax.app, nodecast.xyz and nostria.app and anyone really as its open system.

2026-01-07 23:12:28 UTC

Another big addition of version 1.1 is RSS Feed Imports.
Now you can easily add your DeMu RSS to Nostr Music.
Also hopefully it would be bridge for Wavelake folk to join Nostr Music too.
