I still hate everything about Apple’s Liquid Glass UX. Not simply out of taste, it actually looks kind of pretty.
But because it sacrifices readability, utility, and comprehension for prettiness. Because it is a nightmare for anyone whose eyes aren’t those of a 100% abled 25 year old.
Because it is a perfect example of a company that used to put time and effort into their products deciding that they just don’t give a fuck.
Because I am fairly locked into that company’s products because of decades of monopoly-friendly federal SCOTUSes, Congresses, and POTUSes.
Because at least half of the Americans who agreed with me over that time rejected their civic responsibilities and let everything slide in favor of expressing impotent rage.
And so now I have Apple’s Liquid Glass on my increasingly less usable phone.
And when I eventually update my phone? It will also have even more brain parasitic, useless, “ai” bullshit wedged into every crevice and orifice regardless of user preference.
Why? Because of white supremicist billionaire techbros hellbent on a eugenics/cyber-immortality sci-fi vision of their own personal Epstein island futures.
