I seem to have picked up a few follows by talking about how much the music industry sucks, and I'm guessing that means that at least some of you would be interested in alternative methods of finding & hearing cool stuff:
@npub15fs…l243 - brand-new independent live stream of indie music videos and animation
[@indiebeat](https://theindiebeat.fm/author/indiebeat/ ) - kinda the same as above, but radio
@npub1g26…p4sl - moar awesome radio
@npub19fd…fmmw - does a weekly review thing called Other People's Music, also makes cool music

I see some musicians going all "Metallica vs. Napster" about the Anna's Archive thing, and I feel the need to remind folks that corporations and the music industry have done more to ruin things for us than piracy ever could.

you might want to check out the "How to Synth" articles by @npub19fd…fmmw
https://www.etherdiver.com/how-to-synth-a-guide-to-programming-synthesizers/
A similar resource would be Sound on Sound's Synth Secrets series, which starts pretty basic but also gets quite deep:

I think I found the album that inspired John Mastodon to call posts by the term we use here.

I could take 'em or leave 'em really. I would generally rather just listen to the music and enjoy the show in my head, but occasionally there's a really good one. I tend not to like videos that show the band, especially if they're just playing the song (or pretending to), and double especially not if they're just dancing around or doing whatever silliness in front of the camera. I realize I'm in the minority here and probably sound grumpy lol.
Definitely not into the short-form thing.

2-year anniversary update to my #introduction
Here to share #sounds, #music, #glitch art, and various #audio nerdery. Into #synthesizers, #guitar, and #noise, among other things.
I boost a lot of stuff, mostly music, art, & nerd stuff. Deleted my other account because spoons are in short supply these days. You can find schematics, sample packs, and other audio/music-related stuff on my website:

Nice! I like the platform rating system, that's a cool idea.

I have a basic template sort of thing posted on my website, not sure if it will help, but here's a direct link to the file:
https://www.fstateaudio.com/files/fsa-faircampexample.zip
I tried to include notes to help explain things, but there might still be some stuff that isn't too clear.

I wrote a thing about switching from Windows to Linux for music production. Not a step-by-step guide, but a bunch of (hopefully) helpful info and links for those who might be considering the switch. Will probably also be useful for those new to the whole computer music thing who are interested in Linux as a starting point.
