Social Security and Medicare are a ticking time bomb. No politician has the courage to tackle it.
But the bill is coming due. Don’t miss this special explainer video my team and I produced:

JPMorgan thinks Bitcoin will outperform every major asset for the next 10 years.
But the crazy part is the bank still won't include it in its model portfolios.
Meanwhile, Chamath says Bitcoin is going to ZERO.
I break it all down in this week's News Block, along with the biggest stories moving the economy. Watch or listen now.

This is a wild conversation.
Sue Ennis was a Bitcoin mining executive who left to run an AI companion robot company, and what she told me about this emerging tech left me pretty speechless.

I was down with pneumonia last week but I’m back, and this week’s News Block is a big one.
Bunker mode, tampered devices, a gold hire at Treasury, and Luke Gromen picks a fight with digital credit: https://youtu.be/R5jM6Uxix5Y?is=QRzMeGIdZCWC24vM

The Fed raised rates last month on a jobs report that has since been revised into a loss, and the 10-year yield is at a 24-year high even though the Treasury is buying back $6 billion of its own bonds at a time to hold it down…yikes.
Will we see 10% mortgages soon?
This week's News Block covers the jobs report and bond market, plus two stories that got less attention than they deserved:
- Hester Peirce leaving the SEC after nearly nine years with no replacement nominated
- A Bitwise survey in which not one of fifteen major institutions sold Bitcoin during a 50 percent drawdown, and one sovereign wealth fund funded part of its position by selling gold.

Our first in-person show with Simon Dixon, and after watching a lot of his interviews, I think this is the most complete version of his thesis he's given.

Don't miss my brand new show with Jordi Visser.
Jordi says he sees Bitcoin differently than anyone he knows, and that includes Saylor. He agrees it will serve as the collateral of the system, but he disagrees about what gets it there.
We get into the latest AI warnings, whether the data center spending ends the way 2008 did, what actually starts Bitcoin's next bull run, and why he thinks worrying is a waste of energy.

Tether is becoming a much bigger player in Bitcoin than I think a lot of people realize.
It backed Elektron into one of the largest mining operations in the world, owns the vast majority of XXI, and is now helping shape what XXI becomes after Jack Mallers.
I asked new CEO Rapha Zagury the questions Bitcoiners actually care about: what Tether is building, whether its growing influence should worry Bitcoiners, what happened at Ocean, and where all of this is headed.

You can do everything right - cold storage, multisig, a seed phrase nobody could ever guess - but none of it protects you from a wrench attack.
2026 is on pace to be the worst year on record for physical attacks on Bitcoiners, and France has become the case study nobody wanted.
So I asked a simple question: who's the one person to learn this from? Claude and ChatGPT both gave the same name: @npub17u5…t4tp , co-founder and CSO at Casa, and the person who keeps the archive tracking these attacks worldwide.
On July 21 he's doing a live, no-hype session on how not to become the next name on that list: why France became ground zero, how to know your own risk level, what actually protects you versus what's just for show, and your questions answered live.
Every Bitcoiner should hear this one. Register: https://meanwhile.bm/webinars/bitcoin-wrench-attacks/?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=natalie_partnership&utm_campaign=bitcoin-wrench-attacks_webinar

Michael Saylor believes Bitcoin can 500x.
The more interesting question is how.
At BTC Prague, we discuss whether Bitcoin’s path forward is driven primarily by adoption and savings, or by capital flowing in through global credit markets.

A clip went viral this week of a professor declaring that Bitcoin is a CIA surveillance tool and demanded to know "where are the servers?"
We’re 17 years in and the basic facts of what Bitcoin actually is still get lost. Which is one of the reasons why I found the Finding Satoshi documentary worth watching.
It's not what I initially expected. It's less about putting a name on Satoshi and more about tracing where Bitcoin came from: the ideas, the people, the years of cryptographic work that made it possible.
For the record, I don't think we need to unmask Satoshi. There's something beautiful about a creator who walked away and let the protocol speak for itself.
And this also isn't like the New York Times piece that recently dropped falsely naming Adam Back…that was based on circumstantial writing analysis, no cryptographic proof, plus Back has denied these claims for years. NYT got it wrong.
What really got me were the moments with Fran Finney. Hearing her talk about Hal - who he was, what he believed, how he helped change the world - hit me hard. Their love was an inspiration.
Behind all the code and the debates and the price charts, there are real people who poured their hearts into building something that could set the rest of us free.
Fran's love for Hal comes through in every word she shares, and her strength in carrying his legacy forward move me more than I can put into words.
The film also puts to rest the lazy narrative that Bitcoin is some CIA or NSA creation. It's not. Bitcoin came from cypherpunks who spent decades fighting for privacy, sovereignty, and individual freedom. That's a story worth knowing, and one worth holding onto.
Appearances in the film include Michael Saylor, Adam Back, Jameson Lopp and many more.
The film is launching soon, and pre-sale access is available exclusively at findingsatoshi.com/natalie - I was able to extend my followers a 20% discount with code NATALIE.

I’ve had more people reach out to me shaken in this cycle than even in 2022 (when Bitcoin went down 75% from $68k ATH to $16k!) saying they’re panicked, they sold, or they’re suddenly “not sure” about Bitcoin.
Some bailed into gold because they still want to stay on the hard money train. Some are convinced quantum computing is about to “break” Bitcoin. Some tell me I’m reckless for being so undiversified with my life’s savings.
I understand the fear. Drawdowns aren’t fun. They can mess with your confidence and your timeline…especially when the mood is this dark (and when your income is tied to the same asset you’re holding!).
But here’s where I’m at: Bitcoin is still the only life raft worth holding and helping other people find.
My mom gets $900 a month in Social Security. Who can live on that? That’s not a retirement plan - it’s a slow economic strangulation.
So no, I’m not in Bitcoin because it’s some thrilling get rich overnight scheme. I’m in Bitcoin because I don’t see another path that gives everyday families like mine a real shot. I didn’t get in early enough to be “set.” I’m still building. Still working. Still trying to protect the people I love in a system that keeps making life more expensive!
I haven’t lost faith….not because I’m numb to this volatility, but because the problem Bitcoin solves hasn’t gone away.
If you’re shaken right now, you’re not weak. You’re human. Just don’t confuse a bad market mood with a broken thesis.
Keep going. Zoom out. Do the work. Take care of your family. I’m doing the same. We’ve got this.

Oy. Some harsh words, but thank you for the review. My target audience was not those already well-versed in Bitcoin — rather the billions sitting on the sidelines. This passion project has been years in the making. It comes from my family’s immigrant story, from watching the American Dream get priced out for so many hard-working people, and from my conviction that understanding money and Bitcoin can truly change ordinary lives.
Before it goes out into the world in a bigger way, I want to acknowledge three early readers of my manuscript whose minds and hearts shaped this book in a huge way:
@nprofile…c44v's thoughtful, disciplined, data-driven mind was absolutely indispensable. Lyn’s ability to turn complex ideas into clear writing grounded in rock-solid facts was a huge inspiration. Knowing she took the time to read and challenge this book is an honor I don’t take lightly.
@nprofile…7ypf has such a uniquely calm, compassionate way of explaining the massive paradigm shift we’re living through. Jeff helped me articulate the transition we’re in (from a debt-driven, deflation-fighting system to something more hopeful) in a way that feels grounded and human.
And the incredible Michael @nprofile…jwx4…The way he combines first-principles logic, long-term vision, and personal integrity has deeply influenced my journey in Bitcoin. His example gave me so much courage to write boldly and from the heart.
To Lyn, Jeff, and Michael: thank you for reading early copies of Bitcoin Is For Everyone, for your feedback, and for the example you each set in this space. You helped make this book better!
I’m so excited (and very nervous!) to finally share it with all of you. You can order Bitcoin Is For Everyone now. I truly hope it helps people feel more empowered in this financial system.

Like so many of you, I’ve been having a very difficult time processing the senseless act of evil and violence that took Charlie Kirk’s life.
Charlie was a man of deep faith, and I take comfort in my belief that his soul is now experiencing eternal peace with his Creator. What has weighed most heavily on my heart all week is not just the loss of his inspiring voice, but thinking about his wife Erika and her unimaginable pain, and their two beloved children – who are far too young to understand why their father won’t be coming home. Seeing Erika grieving beside his casket and hearing that their daughter has been asking “where is daddy?” has gutted me.
A coward robbed them of life’s most precious and priceless gifts: growing old together, watching their children grow, and building memories as a family.
I don’t often speak on politics publicly because things have become so divided and frankly because I have been disenchanted by both parties throughout my life. I’ve chosen to stay in my lane because the one thing that has given me hope in this broken world is Bitcoin. Not because it belongs to one side or the other, but because I believe it is something that we can all eventually get behind together.
What truly unites us are deeper truths: freedom, connection, love, faith, and hope. Charlie understood this.
I firmly believe the deeper source of our division, and the despair we see everywhere today, is a symptom of the corruption of our money. When money is monopolized for the benefit of a select few and stripped of its integrity, everything in society begins to erode – our morals, our responsibility, our long-term vision, even our sense of purpose. That is the world we live in today, where too many young people have lost hope.
And yet Charlie rose in that moment. He awakened a movement of young people who were handed a mountain of debt, broken institutions, and a world stripped of trust, and he inspired them to believe in a better future. That’s extraordinary.
Charlie embodied so much of what our community aspires to: courage, truth, responsibility. And I have long believed that he was poised to become one of Bitcoin’s strongest and most eloquent advocates.
There are two things you cannot kill: a soul, and an idea. I pray deeply for Charlie’s soul, and I know the ideas he championed will live on in the hearts of millions.
I pray for his family, his friends, his community, and his followers. He left behind a lasting and important legacy. And because of him, I believe more people will be moved to find purpose and peacefully fight for their freedoms, in whatever ways they can. God bless Charlie.
As a dear friend so eloquently put it: Charlie will now do his work from above, and it’s up to us to take it from here.

I had the joy of an early screening of the new Bitcoin documentary UNBANKED, co-produced and co-directed by my dear friend Lauren Sieckmann…and WOW!!!
This stunning film takes you across continents to meet people whose lives are being transformed by Bitcoin. From communities facing crushing inflation to individuals cut off from the traditional banking system, UNBANKED captures real stories of hope, resilience, and financial freedom.
It’s visually breathtaking, emotionally powerful, and a reminder of why Bitcoin matters far beyond charts and headlines. Uplifting. Inspiring. Unforgettable.
If you care about the future of money and human freedom, don’t miss this.

This is my best friend, bridesmaid, and a gentle-hearted Bitcoiner, Saphia. She recently lost her home and all her belongings in the Palisades Fire. Adding to her struggles, she was unable to secure an insurance policy when she moved in, and the last year has been particularly hard for her due to multiple failed IVF attempts.
Saphia has always been a source of kindness and strength for others, and now she needs our love and support more than ever. Please keep her in your prayers, and if you’re able, consider contributing to help her rebuild. Every satoshi counts.
You can send support to her Bitcoin wallet or Lightning address here: saphiarelief@tryspeed.com.
