Oh no, the coffee shop owned by a fraudster that fled Oregon to Idaho closed. 🙄
Sucks for the workers that got no notice, but good riddance. Hope someone legit takes over the cafe spot.

Instagram served me up a video where an Italian man was roasting his American wife for "ruining" his Moka Pots. He showed of a collection of "ruined" Mokas. The latest addition was one that his wife washed with soap...
Which leads me to ask. Uhh, should I not be washing mine with soap?
Using "ruined" in quotes because they all looked perfectly fine except one that was missing a handle. #Coffee #MokaPot

Some good news. Bend city council votes to turn off and uninstall Flock cameras. https://ktvz.com/news/bend/2026/01/08/update-city-of-bend-turns-off-will-uninstall-flock-license-plate-reader-cameras-amid-security-concerns/
One interesting point, the contract was below the threshold for what the city council normally would have to approve. I wonder if that's why Flock cameras popped up so quickly in so many cities and towns without any warning or oversight.

GA Everyone! Next week my YL and I will be in Chile. I plan on doing some POTA from Torres de Paine National Park (CL-0092), which has 0 POTA Activations, while we backpack there. Grid Squares FD93.
We'll finish up our trip in Santiago, Chile where I plan on activating Cerro San Cristobal (https://sotl.as/summits/CE3/SA-019)
Please add CE/N7KOM and CE3/N7KOM to your HamAlerts!
I'll have my KX2, so I plan on doing some high bands!

@nprofile…z5mg I've heard of it being noisier on RX in urban environments, but that is anecdotal from a friend in an urban environment who changed out his ladder line doublet for a coax fed EFHW and got noise improvements.

@nprofile…20qw I spotted one on the lettuce a few weeks ago. It must've moved on. Unfortunately the garden centers here don't carry ladybugs and when I tried to mail order them last year they arrived mostly dead :(

Hmm, I'm ready to do some production run 3d print tests, but the prints will take ~5 hours. That long really stinks up my office even with an air filter running next to the printer. Might be time to move the printer to our warehouse. #3dPrinting
