Brendan Larsen from Ngāmotu in Aotearoa and a member of the New Plymouth Astronomical Society took this stack over a couple of hours and estimates 14000 satellite trails. This is how bad it is now, it's set to get much much much worse - and then we lose Low Earth Orbit until the mess cleans itself up, if it cleans itself up. No weather satellites for forecasting, no GPS, and definitely no crewed spaceflight. All because of ego and greed. It must be stopped.

The Nerd Reich - not news to many of us here, but very nicely put together for folks that haven't been soaking in it.
Highly recommended, perfect for folks that kinda get it but need it spelled out, buy a copy or two and get them to those that need to see it.

It took a while to get through, but this is as good as it gets. @nprofile…mpl5 has excelled himself with this one....
If you have any interest in photography, at any level, this is an hour very well spent.

9 days later, no indication that my order from Durston has been processed let alone shipped and no response to emails asking for clarification.
Highly unimpressed.
Pretty much the worst customer service I have experienced in the industry. Don't care how good it is Im never buying anything from him again.

I have seen some pretty kooky photos used in outdoor gear ads over the years, but I reckon this is about the best! This is not how you body rappel - it's how you give yourself an atomic super wedgie and possibly die in the process.

@nprofile…gj99 @nprofile…kryq Yep, my thoughts exactly. Whatever it is it will be baseline spec, I don't want all the fluff that will break - I can add wheels that I actually like

@nprofile…gj99 @nprofile…kryq @nprofile…8wwy Good to know. Im in the market for "something" this financial year, but I don't know what yet. Leather won't be good for wet kayakers - I wanted custom Carhart seat covers but that's unlikely to happen now

@nprofile…gj99 @nprofile…kryq @nprofile…8wwy Never had a leather interior, vinyl in my mini and maxi, everything else has been cloth other than the 206 that has a leather and Alcantara mix

@nprofile…fakd Trudging up fixed ropes, yep can see that happening. Can't imagine it's going to be all that good for things that are all about the feel and little balance shifts.

Work though - with a built in winch for going up and down rope, be awesome!
