Big news! TIME’s Best Inventions of 2026 list is out now, and we’re over the moon to be selected as one of three in the Apps and Software category this year!
But this award really belongs to all our Diviners who embraced that mission and made Divine what it is. You built this. 💚
We created Divine to put creative power back into human hands.
No ad-based algorithm, no AI slop, and no blackbox algorithm. Just people making weird, wonderful things together.

New version of divine is out!
https://zapstore.dev/apps/co.openvine.app
We fixed hundreds of bugs but the big new feature is a stop motion camera mode!
Open the camera, choose Stop Motion, and make a loop one frame at a time. You can reorder or delete frames, change how long they stay on screen, add audio and layers, save a session to Clips, and come back to it later.
There's plenty more:
* Clip splitting is now instant, audio waveforms appear on the timeline, and trimmed moments can be saved back to Clips.
* Drafts can be duplicated, so you can take the same project in two different directions.
* Long-press a shared video in DMs to save it.
* Interrupted publishes can pick up where they left off, with sturdier background publishing on iOS.
* Tap Home while already on Home to jump back to the top and refresh.
* For You should also repeat fewer videos you've just watched.
* Existing sessions can open offline and recover when the connection returns.
* Saved videos now use the refreshed Divine wordmark.
* We also fixed sticky camera zoom on iOS, ProofMode retry failures, age-gated media loading, Bluesky username claims, broken navigation, playback crashes, and a pile of smaller rough edges.
Please hammer on Stop Motion: shoot a few frames, undo one, reorder them, change the timing, add sound, leave and come back, then publish. Tell us if anything disappears, drifts out of sync, or gets stuck.
Oh and the bluesky stuff is done our end, but because ATprotocol is a permissioned network, we're still waiting on their approval in order for cross publishing to work. ;-\ And people ask why we build on Nostr... ;-D

The expiration functionality has existed in Nostr for a long time and almost all nostr relays honor it. So yes, you could run a relay that doesn't honor the spec, you can sae a copy of the nostr event, you can screenshot the content. But you'd have to run that off the main nostr network. It's not proof the content will go away, more about expressing intent and most of the nostr software honors that intent.

New version of Divine out on @nprofile…zjna
https://zapstore.dev/apps/co.openvine.app
We’ve been deep in the relay mines these last few weeks, and a lot landed.
Search got a full rebuild. People search, hashtag search, and video search are all properly wired now, with pagination, cleaner filters, better tab counters, and fewer dead ends. We also fixed some of the annoying stuff around it: back navigation behaves properly, user search no longer hides people just because they haven’t posted yet, and results stream in faster instead of feeling stuck.
Publishing and protocol work got a serious reliability pass. We added Divine resumable Blossom uploads, per-chunk retry, smarter session persistence, better auto-resume behavior, and capability caching so uploads hold up better on rough connections. On the Nostr side, we tightened the publish path so relay acceptance counts correctly, local publish waits for relay visibility, block lists restore properly after reinstall, contact lists are protected from catastrophic shrinkage, and creator identity metadata now publishes in a more Nostr-first way.
Playback and feeds should feel a lot less cursed. We improved feed playback, added recovery for stalled videos, restored playback state and selected volume after buffering, added better retry states, and hardened moderation handling across cached and fresh media. We also added fallback paths for transcoding-in-progress videos, raw Divine blobs, and HLS when MP4 variants fail, plus better player pooling, thumbnail handling, and profile/feed refresh behavior so the app stays responsive instead of blinking itself to death.
Integrated Apps got much more real. We finished the vetted sandbox bridge, added auto-login for embedded Nostr web apps, put the feature behind flags while we tune it, and added divine.space to the directory. Settings also got a real cleanup pass with a redesigned screen, account switching, feature flags, a proper Legal screen, and a Bluesky crosspost toggle.
DMs, notifications, and profile flows got a bunch of quality-of-life work too. We added message requests, clickable URLs, long-press actions, and delete-for-everyone support via NIP-09, while tightening NIP-04 interop for more reliable delivery. We also fixed duplicate conversations, unread badge weirdness, local-time notification headers, conversation naming, profile stats, session-expiry handling, NIP-05 normalization, and stripped GPS metadata from profile photos.
Web needed a proper exorcism, so we gave it one. We fixed first-paint and startup blockers, hid camera controls where web capture still isn’t ready, stopped stale Cloudflare-cached entrypoints from pinning old builds, retired a broken custom service worker, and cleaned up browser-specific rough edges that were making the app feel haunted. So you can now access divine at app.divine.video
We also kept pushing on discovery and creation. Categories got redesigned discovery and gallery flows, shared videos got richer preview cards, the sound
library expanded with more clips, the video experience picked up better metadata and interaction polish, and there are a bunch of smaller UI fixes across
the app that make everything feel tighter.

New Release of Divine 1.0.6
Since 1.0.5, Divine has become a much stronger playground for human creativity and connection.
We’ve made the app faster, steadier, and more expressive across the board. Feed loading is dramatically quicker. Playback is smoother. Search is sharper. Profiles, comments, badges, sharing, and notifications all got real attention. The camera, editor, and library also took a big step forward, with better audio tools, stronger draft handling, cleaner clip workflows, and fewer weird edge-case failures.
What’s new since 1.0.5:
* A faster, more stable feed: quicker home load, fewer black flashes and freezes, fewer phantom pauses, better subtitle support, cleaner overlays, safer pooled playback, and fixes for tricky Divine-hosted video URLs.
* Better discovery: a rebuilt home experience, a persistent For You mode, curated lists in feed logic, a new Categories tab in Explore, faster search behavior, and better hashtag reliability.
* Stronger identity and sign-in flows: multi-account support, better deep-link and email verification handling, session recovery improvements, external NIP-05 support, NIP-49 account import, and fixes so verified identity is shown more honestly.
* More capable creation tools: upgraded camera and video editor flows, custom audio rendering, audio editor support, countdown sound, auto lens switching, stronger clip deletion and drag interactions, better waveform feedback, improved gallery saving, and a redesigned drafts/clips library backed by more durable local storage.
* Better community features: real-time comments, profile comments tab, cross-device sync for likes and reposts, block-user support, clearer content warnings, stronger moderation lookups, and improved Human Made / AI badge handling.
* Better sharing and social actions: a cleaner unified share flow, restored download actions, better user search in sharing, smarter follow handling, and notification badge fixes.
* Platform and release improvements: macOS support, experimental Linux support, better Zapstore and release automation, improved Crashlytics symbol uploads, iOS crash fixes, Android background-work fixes, and build stability work.
The bigger theme is simple: more agency, less friction, and more room to play.
Divine is being shaped into a place for real people, real weirdness, and real creative ownership. No slop. No doom-scroll tax. Just a better space to make, share, and connect.

Yes, you can built it yourself, but right now it's in the full TestFlight. We wanted to do zapstore first because it helps us make sure we do Nostr right, we honor open systems and open appstores, etc...

Divine Beta 1.0.5 Launches in @nprofile…tdq0
Bringing back Vine, on Nostr. We announced Divine back in November and got much more attention than we expected. The last 90 days have been a sprint to get the app production ready. We're launching first on Nostr's Zapstore because it's Nostr that made building Divine possible.
