the shitcoin bill died, the fed hiked rates, and bitcoin ripped everyone face off.
turns out bitcoin doesn’t pump because of government bills or banker wankers. it pumps because fiat is dying and bitcoin is better money.
nobody wants government debt and a finite asset for the people has never been more important. going live in 5 minutes to rant and orange pill about it.

- speaking of these AI labs being full of shit, if AI needs to slow down, how are we gonna “grow our way out” of the debt?
- which beings us to yields screaming higher. with this much debt, you either default or print. tick, tock.

the Strike line of credit may be my favorite thing we’ve ever built. it’s unbelievable.
- it’s an open term loan. no origination fee, no early repayment fee, and you only accrue interest on what you actually use
- it’s a payment method. i can withdraw cash from it instantly, i can pay bills with it, i can even stack sats with it
- because strike is effectively a bank, i also have my paychecks land there, and can configure my paychecks to pay down my line of credit
how do i live on bitcoin?
i have a bitcoin line of credit on Strike. i spend on credit cards, and pay my HOA, ComEd, credit card, and other bills with my line of credit. i also have small DCA going on the line of credit at these price levels. my paychecks come into strike and i configure it to pay down my line of credit and stack sats with the excess cash. i never have to sell my bitcoins and deal with tax triggers.
this also ensures my LTV is never dangerous. i don’t need to borrow a massive lump sum at once and risk a dip. my LTV for a line of credit is like less than 1% of my bitcoin.
a financial account from the future.
we start rolling it out externally next week. so excited

genuine question: do people actually believe this?
to state the obvious, my business incentive is to keep the loan open for as long as possible. i get paid servicing my customer.
“taking their bitcoin” onto my balance sheet would be about the dumbest way imaginable for me to acquire bitcoin.
if i want to buy bitcoin at these levels (which i do every day, regardless of price), i buy it with profit.
we don’t lend out cash from our balance sheet because we don’t want to own billions of dollars of fiat. Strike owns as much bitcoin as possible. we lend out fiat that we got from someone else.
when a loan gets liquidated, it’s because i owe that cash back to someone else who gave me fiat. if the customer defaults, i have to sell the bitcoin to get them back the cash.
what do i want? i want bitcoiners to have healthy loans and never sell, forever. i buy bitcoin with the money i earn providing the service…
duh?

fascinating correlation between bitcoin and software right now.
software is getting clobbered due to AI and the US attempting to divert liquidity from frothy tech multiples to reshoring and domestic infrastructure.
as part of that unwind, bitcoin is taking a nosedive with software tech.
as brutal as the dip has been, maybe this is the beginning of bitcoin parting ways with its "tech" asset owners and moving on as a sound money asset?
thats the topic today. about to go live

I like owning as much bitcoin as possible and no fiat as well… so check this out:
We are working on a line of credit product that will, in real time, extend a credit line against your BTC to make Lightning payments, pay bills, etc. This way, you don’t have to part with your bitcoin OR own fiat to live in today’s society. Hoard bitcoins, borrow fiat paper for payments.
You can manage the line of credit and pay it down via your direct deposit or any other funding method. It works just like a credit card today, except it’s secured with BTC, so the terms and everything else about it is way better.
This will allow living on bitcoin and speculative attacking fiat at a massive scale for all. A true suite of bitcoin banking services that feel natural and easy.
I cannot wait to launch everything we are building

you can spend your cash balance over Lightning today on Strike.
I prefer this over spend and replace because it avoids the capital gain taxable event and is the same thing as spend and replace.
what we do behind the scenes is take your fiat, convert it to bitcoin, and pay the lightning invoice.
what’s mind blowing is that when Square turns this on, a consumer and a merchant can even do USD <> USD settlement with bitcoin as the network, not Visa. cheaper, faster , cash final, etc.

Announcing Proof of Reserves for Twenty One
As Bitcoiners, we hear a lot about how Wall Street has arrived to #Bitcoin. With Twenty One, #Bitcoin has arrived on Wall Street.
Don't trust, verify.
We will be publishing multiple addresses over the next week proving our #Bitcoin reserves.
Our first address can be seen below, which contains 4,812.22 BTC that was acquired via proceeds of a prior transaction: https://mempool.space/address/bc1qzup4k7zn9jur7a8kz0dnaernzyf60h8ez6s9cpmp23wfw5djhvusd4p0v3
We are also announcing today that, as of May 22, the Convertible Note Investors (all but one) and the Sponsor have exercised the option in full to purchase, in the aggregate, $100 million of Option Convertible Notes. See the Form 8-K below.
Over the next week, the four more #Bitcoin addresses we plan to publish are as follows:
- 14,000 BTC that's been contributed by Tether
- 7,000 BTC that's been contributed by Bitfinex
- 10,500 BTC that's an additional contribution from Tether on behalf of SoftBank
- The BTC we intend to acquire via the proceeds from the transaction announced today
The contributions are subject to closing of the previously announced business combination with Cantor; following such closing the BTC reserves will be transferred to wallets owned by Twenty One.

Calling self-custody "crypto-anarchism" oversimplifies what Bitcoin accomplishes.
It's about freedom—freedom of speech, property rights, and protecting your right to own what's yours.
We must not dismiss it because freedom isn't promised—it must be fought for and protected.
As I said at the end of the clip, I love Saylor. He's a friend. This is the only free market in the world being free.
In any free market, especially something as revolutionary as Bitcoin, people are going to have different views. That's not just normal, it's necessary.
It's all love from me. My goal is simply to defend the principles that I believe make Bitcoin powerful: freedom and the ability for anyone to engage with it however they see fit.
