If you go to @npub1yau…atjv this year, beware there’s a massive #railroad strike the whole week (Monday to Friday 10 PM), which might affect your venue.
No details known yet, so you might want to look at https://fosdem.org/2026/practical/transportation/ and https://www.belgiantrain.be ; chances to have an idea of how disrupted things will be before the strike starts is close to zero.

It looks fantastic. Also I'm not familiar with any PeerTube branding or character, so right now I'm wondering if there's any sort of lore or universe where ironing is important. :D

Exactly this. They are white.
As a non-white, it’s completely clear there are countries I wouldn’t travel to, and the U.S.A. has been one of them since 2 decades.

I think swc is also popular. At least it was among the React folks at previous work.

But if I were single I would 100% be an activist and would have voted for some form of domestic terrorism.

1) cry 2) move to Canada or Europe 3) answer “yes absolutely!” to anyone who would call me a coward. :n8rd:

Interesting take! I guess it’s probably better to sanitise once at insertion compared to do it each time you read the data, and also because it makes the DB portable since it’s supposed to be the source of truth.
I still like the idea of not taking this for granted, thou, and also because there might be use cases for saving non-sanitised data.

So here’s how I would solve screenshot 1 with TS, since I’m now not using a phone 🙃: https://www.typescriptlang.org/play/?#code/GYVwdgxgLglg9mABDAzgcRFKBTATgEWwjlwENYFEAKMOAE2wC5EA5e7ASmYCM44AbbKSQBvAFCJExMCijIUAUUEBbbGDkBeRLQYA6HdgAqATwAO2RBq1s9CgDIKAsgpaGA+iwDy+BWInJgagBCVCVsVXUORHFJSVxsKBBcJGBSfhRsfwBfP0lpWURsFTVNbXZEUhREAAlDRwdi9VzEeMTk6n9JIvCS3ShSAHMWUlVLK0QAIkcAQQAlAGkJzsQAMhXCxqhdCH5KlDtULel+mBkqCYHMHFwJjn8OAG4xLKA
For screenshot 2 I guess the same kind of zero-value fuckery is needed because TS is indeed TS. :nard: Thou maybe you can avoid `.closest` by setting this CSS rule:
`button * { pointer-events: none; }`
This makes sure no children of the button can be an event target, and leads to a more straightforward code: https://www.typescriptlang.org/play/?#code/PTAEEMGdIVwWwJYDsDmFKjuATgaxgA4BcoABgDwDGMkALgPZwC0ARjLQ0qACbi3hNuCbAFNKtBPSQBeAERIRAD1qyAfKQBQG2gE8CI0ABFhYiVNDTQAcgKiAbldAAfawuVWtlADZQMAYRoGOAAhdk4AUS8ROBEkWlAlWljuDAAJABUAWQAZUI4pSOjY+IBvDVBQSik6bBhxemwACgBKUDKKith9Juby0ABfLQqAC3Akbii-KVpsei9IRpE7WhJM+hoRcLti1vaOqqQ6HhNxSS5LReWAOn5sFBF4qFAMnLyIqJi45qvefkgHn4nMxcJ7GUSnKRDDoIABmoEaAEIhODgbtQKJaDBsFxBn0KrRhghIABtZGmM4AXRafVxFVsSxabVpoDctEZJUG-SAA

Ha, I see. Well, TS being TS, using `.?classList instead of `.classList` is a way to please the compiler.
Type safety without TS is much better.

In the first message, can you try changing the type of the parameter (ˋnode: Node`) to `HTMLElement`?

Well, their desktop client is slow and unreactive, like if it were made with poor web tech, so I guess there's not more to expect from the mobile app probably built with React native or something similar.
It's probably a big thing for iOS app publishers, likely less for anyone else not versed into the related abusive systems around it, I guess.

“ it makes it easier for large teams to manage complex state without thrashing the DOM”
Do you imply that no better technical choice is available for this?
