Testing out my new blog connected to the Fediverse.
If you’ve got a minute, please leave a comment with your thoughts directly on the Dystronix post I’m about to repost.
I’m testing whether the comment makes its way back to the blog post, and whether it works across different Fediverse instances and servers.
Anyone willing to be a test subject?

A little reminder about the first article on Dystronix.
The article is written in Japanese, but you can switch to the English version using the button at the top of the page.
If you haven’t read it yet, I’d love for you to take a look. ↓

Many people who are already part of the Fediverse may simply prefer quieter spaces.
Some use it almost like a personal journal, sharing photographs without feeling the need to constantly explain or promote them.
The more I think about whether photography is simply a record or a piece of work, the more I question a culture where photographs are endlessly consumed on centralized platforms.
I have a feeling I’m not the only one who feels that way. #photography

In that sense, #photography feels like a surprisingly valuable hobby today.
You can head out convinced you’ll make great images, then come home with nothing.
And on another day, without expecting anything, you stumble upon a photograph you’ll remember for years.
Maybe that’s why I keep carrying a camera.
Not everything worth finding can be planned.

With the internet—and now AI—it’s becoming easier than ever to find answers and turn ideas into reality.
It’s an amazing time to be alive.
At the same time, I sometimes feel that too many things are starting to go exactly as planned.
Maybe one of the skills we’ll need in the future is to intentionally seek experiences that don’t go our way. — 1/2

The point I was trying to make in my previous post is that the appeal of personal websites and portfolios isn’t just the photographs themselves, but also the freedom to decide how they are presented.
On social media, photographers, chefs, musicians, and everyone else are essentially publishing their work within the same interface. Personal websites are different. —

For photographers today, it has become almost natural to build their presence around social media.
To be fair, social media has helped me discover countless photographs and photographers that I might never have encountered otherwise.
But lately, whenever I come across the website of an interesting photographer, I find myself thinking about something else.

This Telegram CEO arrest is a replay of the Winny case, “Can the craftsman who made the knives used in the crime be charged with a crime?” is a replay of the Winny case. No, if there is also a geopolitical issue, it is even more complicated.
