Make your household an agent of cultural preservation. Cultivate deep cultural memory in yourself and in your people. Maintain a strong sense of connection with Western heritage and values.
Do this by reading and owning the classics. Develop a robust and curated personal library. Maybe even develop a private archive of important cultural artifacts and works of art.
Buy up and hide all the old books while you still can.

The belief that extraterrestrial alien life exists is built on the assumption that life emerges from non-life, which has never been demonstrated or observed.
The belief that intelligent extraterrestrial alien life exists is built on the assumption that consciousness emerges from non-conscious material, which has never been demonstrated or observed.
Both of these assumptions are predicated upon an evolutionary and materialist frame. And that frame—a universe full of physiological extraterrestrial alien life—is the hollowed out caricature of the older cosmological model of a universe teeming with the life of spiritual intelligences. The hierarchy of God's heavenly host.

I don't really watch many movies or series. On the rare occasions that I do, I run my options through a series of filters before determining whether to watch. One of them is what you might call a *heritage filter*.
If the depiction is of something related to the Christian and/or Western canon, I simply ask:
"Does this depiction honor the source content? in whatever ways it may change things, are they such ways that watching it means I am being entertained in something that intentionally dishonors the source material?"
I will not be a willing participant in the marring, mocking, or satanic defacing of the Faith, of my fathers, or of the great stories of the West.

Disclosure is beginning, so it seems like a good time to restate that aliens are demons.
America has the highest number of recorded UFO/UAP sightings, which began in earnest around the late nineteenth century.
What else was happening around that time? Widespread apostacy as we embraced materialism, evolutionary theory, and occultism.
Many reported alien encounters over the following century and a half have involved the so-called aliens delivering New Age and occult messages to the people they are targeting. Other times the nature of the encounters appear very materialist, scientifically advanced, even experimental—like extraterrestrial beings observing and studying life on earth.
Why? Demonic deception. Continue to turn people away from Christ through encounters and phenomenon that support a purely materialis, evolutionary worldview or encounters that support occultic and New Age universalist worldviews. Whatever strategy is more effective given the time, place, and persons.
The end result is the same—to further entrench people in worldviews that damn them.
The government might have a complex web of reasons for choosing to disclose UAP related material now. It may be an intentional distraction, a part of #Reset, etc. But at the most fundamental level, any phenomenon that isn't fake, natural, or secret government tech, is demonic deception.
Don't be conned by devils or alphabet agencies.

Age-gating websites, apps, and even app stores with some form of digital ID is more than enough to lock in normies, but all these things can be circumvented and built around by those who won't willingly submit themselves to the panopticon.
Age-gating at the OS level is another thing entirely. It all needs to be resisted, but this most of all.
CA, CO, and NY all currently have legislative efforts in motion to require OS level age-gating. More states and federal efforts are likely to follow.
Developer resistance is good to see and I hope it grows. But there also needs to be decisive legal challenges and strong political pressure. This is not a battle won by merely opting out, and neither #Bitcoin nor #Nostr will simply "fix this".

Re: "I'm not saying your view is incorrect, but rather that there are different ways of understanding God."
In order for your view to be correct, the Biblical view @nprofile…5nhe is espousing would necessarily have to be incorrect.
God cannot both be a perfect, complete, transcendent being who is outside and independant of His Creation and simultaneously be an incomplete, dynamic, unfolding process that is dependent on Creation.
This is an either/or, not a both/and theological assertion. Either your view of God is correct, or Laser's view is correct. Even if you believe that there are different ways of understanding God, you will necessarily hit limitations in just how many are coherent before you run into irreconcilable contradictions of belief and possibility.

Yes, because there is obviously more to life and reality than what can be verified by the senses alone even outside of religious claims. To reduce what is true to what you can physiologically sense, or reason from the senses, is flattening reality. Determining truth isn't less than this but it is a lot more.

Halloween does not have its origins in the ancient pagan festival of Samhain. We wouldn’t know about the festival at all were it not for Medieval Irish monks who recorded its existence nearly a millennia after it ceased to be observed. Halloween has always been a distinctly Christian holy day with a rich history. Our household is pushing through the noise of an increasingly neo-pagan and commercialized American Halloween to find the signal of historic Hallowtide.

In the Book of Luke, the angel Gabriel appears to Zechariah the priest, the husband of Mary's cousin Elizabeth, and tells him that his wife (who is advanced in years and has been barren) will conceive and bear a son (John the Baptist). Zechariah says "how shall I know this?" And proceeds to say that he and his wife are old.
The angel rebukes him and renders him mute until the day his son is born.
Some months later, the angel Gabriel visits Mary and tells her that she will conceive and bear the Son of God. Mary says "how will this be, since I am a virgin?"
The angel then provides an explanation and also tells her of her cousin's pregnancy.
The two encounters are nearly identical in structure and both Zechariah and Mary respond in nearly identical ways. Why is the treatment from the angel so different between them?
It is a good lesson in how to ask questions and wield doubt. Zechariah, a priest in the temple of the Lord, prayed for years for a child and when his prayer is finally answered, he questions it in unbelief. This is contrasted with Mary who received a message about something she was not praying about and when the angel visits her, she questions him *honestly*. Her doubt is rooted in faith.
This is instructive for all of us who question. There is honest skepticism and dishonest skepticism. There is faithful doubting and unfaithful doubting.
All questions arise out of the heart of man, and God, who tests hearts, will respond to man accordingly.

Columbus was a great man and Christian hero whose reputation and legacy, like so many great Christian men of ages past, was intentionally and unjustly tarnished by lesser men with wicked agendas and a lot of shiny academic credentials. This particular instance of character assassination was carried out by so-called historians like Howard Zinn.
Imperfect though he was, Columbus represents Western civilization itself, which is to say, Christendom and all that was built upon its foundations. He represents the desire that faithful European Christians had to spread the Gospel to news lands and peoples.
And he represents America as an indespensible part of our existence and heritage.
He is worthy of our honor and our remembrance.

The individuals who did the murdering are distinctly responsible for their actions, yes.
And what worldview were those individuals shaped by? One of woke, progressivist, Marxist, godless ideology. A worldview that frames man like Kirk as a fascist Nazi pig deserving of death. A worldview that celebrates such a man's assassination as not only justified but morally and politically necessary.
This is a worldview shared by a majority of those on the political and cultural Left wing.
I understand that a lot of folks on Nostr are anarcho libertarian types who exalt individualism and reject the left/right frame. I won't make assumptions about where you are. But I will say that reality is comprised of more than just individualism. Left and right are not always helpful categories but in instances like this are appropriate because individuals don't act in a vacuum. The Left is comprised of people who by their own volitions enjoin themselves to a particular collective set of dogmas, rituals, liturgies, and beliefs.
Theirs is a culture of death. And you know them by their fruit.

The Puritans would conduct family worship morning and evening. In our household we have adopted their basic evening model of a scripture passage, prayer, and a hymn.
While our kids are young we keep the time focused and short but will leave a little time for discussion as it may arise. We have iterated as we have had more children and as they get older we will probably continue to iterate.
Every family should find a model of family worship that works for them. Every night isn't possible for some families. Sometimes simple bedtime prayer is all that is doable. Do what you can with what you have. But don't do nothing. It is the father's duty to lead his family in family worship. The Puritans would excommunicate fathers who willfully abdicated this responsibility.

This is true:
The human heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. The sheer level of depravity in each of us would shock whoever had a full glimpse of it. No one is righteous, no not one.
This is also true:
We should reject cynicism and resist always assuming the worst intentions in other people. Give others the benefit of the doubt until you have good reason to do otherwise. Don't take yourself too seriously. Don't treat others too flippantly.
It is hard to hold these two sides of reality in tandem but wisdom and healthy relationships require it.
