I hope some of y'all AI fans also noticed that Anthropic and OpenAI and Meta are sponsoring Omarchy in tokens.

I think a lot of people might be playing PvP FOSS instead of Co-Op.

You may not like it but this is the ideal password storage system.

I have responded:
"As I understand it, it was the VP of Product of championed the patronage of the foundation. So that patronage does not in fact seem separable from product decisions.
DHH is sole personality behind Omarchy and the related foundation and takes the stance that Omarchy must be useful to him first and foremost. "

's responses are starting to roll in. It is as disappointing as expected.
"We recognize that Omarchy is closely associated with its founder, and that raises questions about what our support means. Our contribution is made to the Omacom Foundation, not to an individual, and is not an endorsement of any individual's personal or political views. 1Password does not endorse hateful, dehumanizing, or exclusionary views.
The patronage is also separate from product decisions."

And just in case you think I'm just a rando. I have been a 1Password user for damn near 20 years. @npub1ak3…t4td

@npub1ak3…t4td hey what's up with sponsoring DHH's vanity "Linux distro"?
Are you somehow not aware of his history of racist blog posts?
In case that's the case here you go:

This is your irregular reminder to empty your crumb tray and clean your lint trap.

2026-07-12 18:14:07 UTC

It's really not that hard to live your life such that when you die millions of people *DON'T* cheer.
It's basically the default.

There are no "good guy" AI companies.
You can't use any of this shit without enriching the worst fucking people.

A developer ecosystem optimized for LLM usage is as bad as a city optimized for cars.

CI, unit tests, linters, formatters, code review are imperfect but effective safety and productivity tools because they do not require a state of constant hypervigilance.

2026-03-15 00:58:42 UTC

Lot of LLM users out here thinking they're built different.

My infrastructure team has a Sr. Software Engineer position open.
It is remote (US Only: CA, GA, NY, NC, TN, TX, and WA, some other states negotiable)
Supporting a python backend with a typescript/vue frontend on AWS.
Some security.
Some developer tools.
Signal in bio if you want more details.

Please use this opportunity to recommend a Modern #SansAI code editor that is not Emacs or vim.
#SansAI means it has no first-party LLM integration.
(Nothing against Emacs or vim but like… everyone knows those exist)

Have frameworks like React and Vue hindered adoption of modern web features like `<dialog>` and `popover`?
They don't map well to components because they expect to always exist in the DOM and have an imperative interface (show/close) for modifying their state.
They top layer is also incompatible with the "portal"/"teleport" model.
If you want something that shows up on top of a modal you actually need a `reverse teleport` where the dialog steals some dom nodes from outside itself.

Day two of calling the governor's office until he apologizes to the trans community.
They are still quite busy. The person on the phone tried to cut me off. But I threatened to call back immediately and to keep calling back until they listened to every word.
Keep calling. Keep emailing. Keep leaving messages. If you have the energy wait on hold for a person.
Make this expensive. Make it time consuming. Make his staff hate him.

If you happen to still have an Instagram account you can also tell him how much he stinks there.

You should also call your other democratic representatives and demand that they publicly comment on the Gavin Newsom's attack on trans kids.
I have called Mia Bonta, Jesse Arreguin, Lateefah Simon, and Adam Schiff.
These are his peers, these are people who are most able to hold him accountable in the short term.

Feel free to leave a message, I waited on hold for 8 + 15 minutes to talk to a human (they answered after 8 minutes but hung up after 20s while I took a breath.)
I've let the representative know that it is unfair to prevent trans people from participating in society as their authentic selves.
And that ceding ground to fascists won't help him electorally.
I've also pledged to call his office every morning and talk to a real human until he apologizes.

2025-03-06 16:35:36 UTC

The governor's office opens at 9am pacific: (916) 445-2841
Let Gavin know that ceding ground to that odious fascist troll Charlie Kirk isn't going to get the VCs to stop funding recall campaigns and it certainly isn't going to win him the presidency.

The people selling shovels in a gold rush are the people who have a financial interest in creating unrealistic expectations about the likelihood you'll find gold.
This was true for the gold rush.
It was true for Bitcoin.
It's true for AI.
